The Emperor protects.

All of the threads in this forum are about getting the achievements. It's like a Halo bulletin board with nothing but "HELP WANTED!" signs, not a discussion forum. I thought I might try to fix that with some talk about the campaign.

Specifically, Mickey Did anyone else like Mickey? He was my favourite character, and I was sad he had no impact on the overall course of the game whatsoever. His level didn't even have anything to it, like how he got out of the pod or what he had been going. At least you can find Romeo's pod and track his movements - it's only a few minutes after Buck's landing, so he couldn't have done much in that time. mickey had like two hours to screw around.

Thoughts?

"Unfortunately for us both, I like crazy."

I am a leaf on the wind.

Sorry, couldn't pass it up. You make a good point. Mickey's activities are kinda left in the dark, but after all, he's the pilot of the group, so really we just need to know he's still alive to fly the Phantom that gets the group out of the city.
Oh, and Buck's my fave, other than Virgil.

The Emperor protects.

But even then, I was sad to see him not do much, for one of the Core 6 in a character-driven story. We didn't get to see much of Buck, either, when you think about it. Like how he knew Dare was in the Data Hive, or how he met up with the Police Department. -shrug- It just felt like there were gaps in the story.

I dont know about Mickey, but i think the way the Rookies story is played is fun. Discovering his team in a playback type thing was something new in the halos story type.

True, but really, you're playing the Rookie's story, so you're not supposed to know all that happened anyway. How he learned as much as he did is still a mystery, really, getting visions from random scattered objects (I love it, but think about it). It would've been great if ODST would have been made into a more "full-length" game, but I'm very happy with what we got.

Yah if ODST had been longer the story could have been really great without gaps and unexplained things. It was just a surprise that the story was that good
