I bought Halo 2 a couple of days ago, and beat it on Normal in a single 7 hour sitting. The sad thing is, I never got to experience its legendary matchmaking :(

RIP Halo 2: November 9, 2004-May 10, 2010
I was the 2nd to last person to get kicked off Halo 2, see the thread Here

Dude, that's horrible. :(
You have to get Xbox connect Kai, or even Halo 2 PC. Whichever one you choose, you have to experience Halo 2 multiplayer.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.
Xfire: JacobGRocks.
50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

XBConnect is a program for PC. It must run on a PC on the same network on your xbox, and the PC must be connected via a wired connection.

And it works on 360 for xbox original games, but not for 360 games without modding.

I'm pretty sure you can play 360 games using xbox connect, without modding. If it was me though I would choose Xlink Kai. It's better IMO.

360 games drop lan connections if the ping is higher then 30ms. You need to use mods to disable it.
Original Xbox games do not have that limitation, so you can play them online via a lan tunneler.

halo 2 RIP 4/15/10

The matchmaking was my favorite multiplayer out of any game ever for me.

Team snipers, double team, and the ranking system were my 3 fave parts

If you dont wanna tinker with it, just get Halo2 on the PC. Same intact matchmaking, and its still pretty fun.

I feel so bad for you.

Then go buy the PC version.
It's nothing like Halo 2 on Xbox LIVE. Theres's no matchmaking and no one knows how to make a good damn gametype.

Use xlink kai or Vista, XBC is a bish to figure out. Also I do want to give you a warning that WHATEVER you choose, note that it will most certainly not be just like original XBL for Halo2. I am sorry to say you missed out, however if I stole the Montauk project's portal of time, I would bring you back into the release of H2 and relive it all with you. (I'm sure many others would want to follow too.) -CM
