You should be able to run it decently. The lag might be a bit higher than others, but you should run it fairly smoothly. The only thing thats got me worried is your processor speed and your RPMs. But its not really a huge difference.

It looks like a nice laptop, though. What is it?

My critique:

Processor - Sempron? Hmm, that thing is meant as a budget, non-gaming processor. You will encounter frame rate drops on singleplayer when you have to calculate AI. Also, the speed isn't bad at all. This isn't Intel, this is AMD. AMD processors run at a lower clock speed than Intels [as well as a lower temperature], but run a faster clock speed on the cpu/northbridge channel [up to 2GHz on some compared to 1066MHz on Intels]. AMD's harness every ounce of power per clock cycle - Intels don't do that so well, hence their high clock speed and temperature.

Monitor - I use an LCD from 5 years ago. A screen is generally a screen. As long as you've got a decent refresh rate [~75Hz] you should be fine. I should upgrade mine...

Graphics - that's integrated. Not the best. It shares system memory, so you lose a bit, there. I think that 800x600 or lower with a few settings is all you'll choke out.

Memory - 512MB is the absolute minimum now. It's perfectly fine for Halo, but other games...meh, don't expect to play Battlefield 2 that well...

HDD - Sounds like this is a laptop, but if it isn't your hard drive will slow you down, a lot. What's the buffer size?

Lag free? You'll hit lag often in singleplayer, a bit in multiplayer.

lol same as my desktop, but i've got an okay graphics card, and only 1.4 ghz of processing power, well it WAS top-of-the-line 5 years ago. I'm probably going to get a sweet labtop for university though, maybe a Dell XPS>mmmm.

hey i got a question and i figured this is a pretty good forum to ask it. im thinking of getting a computer from tigerdirect.com that had a 2.93 ghz celeron d processor, now ive heard rumors that celeron isnt nearly as good as other brands, or is a processor a processor and i should just look at the speed?

You know, a good bet would be to download the halo PC demo version and see if your computer can handle it fine.

The demo gives you one Campaign level (Silent Cartographer) as well as one Multiplayer Map (Blood Gulch). Download the demo and play through both the online and the Campaign.

When you have the demo, some interesting things to watch for are the beginning parts of Silent Cartographer. That part goes pretty heavily on the computer, especially with all the AI the computer has to work through. If your computer can handle Silent Cartographer just fine, the entire game will run fine on your computer.
