Does anybody else out there not have, or not care about, XBox live?Personally, I am waiting for more of what I loved from the first Halo:A kick-ass story, co-op, and LAN parties.[Edited on 8/5/2004 12:39:41 PM]
some of us don't have the luxury of LAN parties. so xbl is a gift from God.
I do not have XBL but i am going to get it for christmas cause its only a month after the game comes out. I cant wait to play XBL though it sounds so awesome. but the SP will kcik ass too
hells ya xbox live even more challenge to get even better
u are crazy
think of it this way: XBOX live gives you a lan party whenever you want, plus clan support for people who like to compete or play woith friendsI will love the story, but xbox live is a great way to play against people on YOUR time
yeah what you smokin? and where can i get some.
Dude XBox Live is something i now cannot live without!Imagine your LAN party now add in all your friends that have their own accounts, headsets for strategic situations and compettition wherever and whenever you want!I personally love it and think you should buy it!
allright, the convenience of XBox live is cool, but most of the time I just hear people -blam!-ing about the people on Live anyway. The thing I like about LAN is that there are no morons, teamkillers, and so on... And to whoever said that you don't have the luxury of LAN parties...what? are the just not a lot of people where you live or what? Maybe I'm taking for granted the fact that I live in southern California and there are people everywhere. i can set up a LAN party every week if I wanted.

one of the downsides of a small town. i really don't have the luxury of LAN parties. if anybody would like to remedy this. i live in northern indiana (5min from ohio and 5 min from michigan) and would love to get some LAN parties going.[Edited on 8/5/2004 12:51:04 PM]
I have and occassionally use Xbox Live. I'll use it when I wantt to have massive carnage and cannot get enough people (10-16) for a good LAN game. That being said, I'd gladly skip playing live for a chance to play with 15 buddies and 4 boxes. Most of my friends don't have live, or we would get together that way more often. Playing with everybody in one room is great especially when you control who is ther. Don't have to worry about all the whinny little kids that litter Live.
Xbox live is one reason why Halo 2 will kick so much ass.
How much does a starter kit cost?[Edited on 8/5/2004 1:15:04 PM]

Posted by: EricimoHow much does a starter kit cost?Mostly depends on where you get it from, its retail i believe is 50 bucks.
i dont have the luxury of lan parties either. theres only like 10 ppl that live within 10 miles that play halo and they're mostly above the age of 16 so they all have jobs and lives wich leaves like 6 ppl for lan parties and the most ive ever seen at one is 4 ppl so thats no fun at all
Or 20 pounds in the UK

i dont have xbl either and me and my friends have tournaments on it and still have a lot of fun. co-op is alot of fun with my brother too.
does anyone know if you can buy xbl and keep it in your closet untill Nov. 9th? i dont have any good xbl games so i cant play xbl.
as far as Xbox live starter kits go, the retail price is 69.99. Anything less is a good deal.
and yes... you can buy it now and activate it in November.
