Of course I'll play halo1 still. I'll miss TTAR, maw, 343 GS, and every other level. I mean come on, sgt ubergrunt is right, if it weren't for halo1, we wouldn't get halo2. The least we can do for halo1 is play it every once in a while.

When I did this poll I was thinking about the multiplayer aspect of the game.

no I will not - because H1 maps (at least some of them) will be included in the multiplayer for H2, either right off the bat or via premium DL content.

Well lets see: I have two copys of Halo at the moment. A scratched version and a perfectly playable version. I will frame the scratched version with case and place it on my wall, and consistantly go back to playing Halo when I miss the exciting action. When Halo 2 comes I will play it till my heart is content and then once I start to miss the content of the single player levels and the multiplayer maps, ill definatly get back into playing Halo. So the answer is yes, I will always have a place in my disc drive for Halo: Combat Evolved.

I will always go back and play Halo 1, it's the best game there is (well except for Halo 2, of course). So, yes. I will definitely go back and play Halo 1.

why would i not continue playing the original Halo? Its still one of the best games to date and without Halos story, you wouldn't have Halo 2s story.

I don't know if I'll go back and play Halo: CE or not yet, I definately will not sell it or anything retarded like that though. If Halo 2 doesn't have some of the old maps (besides shi.tass blood gulch, sidewinder, and chiron), and if most of the maps are large and vehicle based then I'll be putting Halo: CE back in and selling Halo 2. I love all the new features they put in, but I HATED the way Halo PC was done, all large maps, overpowerful weapons, and way way too n00bish. I do know Gearbox made Halo PC and not Bungie so I have faith in Bungie. However if Bungie takes out the pistol, the most skilled weapon in Halo besides the sniper, and all new maps include vehicles then me and all of my friends agree we will be taking our copies back and going back to Halo: CE. Bungie, you guys are great, just don't lose the greatness of the game so some n00bs can enjoy it a little bit more.

shadehalo:
The maps are all equally different, perhaps you should try the newer and larger maps once more...but we are all entitled to our opinouns.

I will always have H1...as long as I have a console that plays it. No matter how sweet H2 is, I can never leave AOTCR.

Regarding shadedhalo's comments above:

You say that you hate Halo PC because of the large maps and overpowerfull weapons. And then you go on to say that you don't want H2 if it does not have the handgun in it, which you seem to think requires the greatest skill. Since you haven't noticed, the handgun is the most powerfull weapon in the game and way overpowered for what it is - a handgun. It is too easy to kill someone with 3 headshots, and from a a great distance when only a sniper rifle can contend. I think most others are happy that the handgun will not be coming back for H2 or at least without a change or two, like the removal of the scope and weaker rounds, so that other weapons get a chance to be used and played. In fact, that is what I am looking forward to the most with H2 - a better balance of weapons. So that someone with a weopon like a needler has a fair chance against someone with a battle rifle.

Sorry, I know this is not the thread for this topic, but it had to be said.

My friends, Halo is a great game and will never be forgotten, it is a legend my friends A LEGEND, but lets look at the facts: Halo1 made Halo2 and if it weren't for Halo1 there wouldn't even be a Halo 2. So I say"There will always be room for Halo1 on my shelf, but, I don't know about you" - Lt_Master Chief

There Is Only One Halo and Halo2

I agree, the pistol was way too overpowered. So much so, that on the box MC shoulda been holding that instead of the Assault Rifle. I think that we will find that the Battle Rifle will combine the power of the Pistol (scoped) and add a bit to the Assault Rifle (unzoomed).

I know the pistol was overpowering yes, but it was both a good and a bad thing, on one hand you could kill someone with 2-3 well placed shots and... on the other hand you could get killed by it in 2-3 shots to easily
