Hi,
I'm getting a new computer soon and I'm wondering if halo 2 will work on these specs because I've heard there is a few problems with halo 2.

Processor: AMD Athlon II X2
Memory (RAM): 3 GB
Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium
Shared graphics: Nvidia GF9200 1024 MB

I know that those specs should be good enough but I'm unsure if halo 2 works with certain graphics cards etc.

Thanks

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

That graphics hardware won't be fast enough for any modern games. It's worth it to put money away and purchase a high-end card. PS, Halo 2 graphics performance is the least of your worries... it's a total mess.

Don't bother buying a high end card for that CPU, especially if it's the socket 939 (DDR 400 max) version. It'll end up being a bottleneck to the card.

A mid-range card would probably be alright, but it's pretty hard to say.

My best advice when buying a new computer is to buy the best possible motherboard you can then fill out the rest with low-end stuff. That way in the future you just need to upgrade some components. If you are going to replace the motherboard you are most likely going to have to get a new chip, memory and possibly vid card. Make sure the motherboard is the last thing you replace.

Thanks for the help guys but the only gaming I'm going to be doing is some older games so I might still get it but I'm going to look around more.
