Recently bought a new computer and transferred my saved game over and installed the game on the new computer. Problem is it won't let me on my profile saying that it is damaged, I have downloaded someone else's saved game and it says the same thing. Can somebody help me out?

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

If I had to guess, I'd say this is a deliberate "feature". I've tried to backup saved games for several Live titles and they all claim the files are corrupted. Why companies expect a person to keep the same installation of Windows for more than a year is beyond me.

The new Live monopoly.
F**k you over with gamesaves, which is tied to the Computer ID, Gamertag, Console ID etc.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

It's a carryover from the xbox 1 and 360, where DLC is linked to the console. If you place the xbox 1 dlc files in the proper folders, but forget to resign then, you get a similar "corrupted" error. GFWL is probably the same way, where each install changes the PCID.
