Think about it the structure we saw in e3 would be really hard to construct and maintain without it but in the books we know the humans have no such devices

-Ok.... But haven't you noticed that lots of the Halo levels are like that. I LOVE Bungie but as an architect AND an engineer I can tell you that lots of there stuff isn't structurally sound. I think they just design it to look cool.

.....Uhh dude. It's stuck in the nearby planets orbit if your talking about a Halo ring. But if your talking about Zanzibar...thats on earth. And New Mombasa. That didnt float. That waas a building that had clouds in front of it.

New Mombassa would be -blam!- with out gravity... It would be funny after awhile, but, no...

no no no you dont get what i am saying, the architectual structure of NEW MOMBASA wouldnt stay up it would fall. When i say antigravity i am not saying that it is like the moon, i am saying that they must have some antigravity "jets" so to speak that keep the city from falling apart. thats what i am saying

That is true on alot of their stuff

The reason why they build the cities the way they are is because they put a lot of concrete on the building to sustain damage fromm attack. That is what a bungie official said.

Didn't they release something about a mission being on a Moon with zero-g? That level is going to be PHAT! It was said during a discussion about SP, but since the physics are already there, I can't see any reason why they wouldn't make a MP map in zero-g as well.

The thing is the city was built like a mushroom, the upper part that hung over the bottom would fall they would need something to hold it up (ie: antigravity)

Its a video game. The structures and -blam!- might not all make perfect scientific sense, but theyre basic purpose is to look cool. I dont think anyone is really gonna read into the shape of the levels THAT much.

It's 548 years in the future. They couldn't build the common sky scraper 200 years ago... so err, who knows what they can build in 548. Oh, by the by... the leaning tower of pisa is a physics impossibility, and it stands. In all the computer programs they test it on, it falls over at that degree... but it stands in reality. Crazy huh. Just like you mom.
