It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.
Well, the title tells you a lot, but now for the tool itself- a "flush thread" option. The name pretty much speaks for itself. It would flush all of the replies out of a thread, except the original post. I can forsee this helping in many ways. For instance- lets say a thread, the Halo Movie Thread, for instance, got too big. The Mods, instead of deleting the entire thread, could just inform the thread creator that he has 48 hours to compile all of the information from the thread that he thinks should be kept so he can edit it into the first post once the thread has been flushed. Also, if a good-hearted thread was hijacked and turned into spam or a flame fest, a mod could flush it. There could also be a little bar above a thread saying how many times it has been flushed. Any opinions? Is it a good idea, bad idea, waste of server... whatever it is that having too much information wastes on a server?
