It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

Well, if a mod doesn't thin it would be useful, then I feel no need to persue the idea. But keep looking for my next idea, for there will be one.

Maybe, instead of flush, the creater has a check mark on the left side and u can check all the ones that u wanna delete,
and press a delete button, BUT, that would still take a while for longer posts, seeing as some large topics have like over 50-100 pages, it would take at least 30 min. for somone to do it, but if you were to stay with it and delete the dump worthless post everyday, then you wouldnt have such a big deal to mess with.
I like your idea very much...

I've considered this possibility before. There's only one major flaw. Let's say I create a post about something. Someone disagrees with me, proves me wrong, and makes me look like an idiot. I would wish that post were never there. See where I'm going? People would just delete comments they disagree with.

Ahh, i see...
So what do you think could fix that flaw?
Only the owner of the topic could do it, would help it, seeing as, it's his topic...
Bascially the worst posts are from flammers, spammers, and retards who don't respect the forums....
I see where your going tho, but if they deleted the post that proved them wrong wouldnt that just mean a mindless topic going about, if he knows he's wrong, then he would just close down the topic or somthing, if u can figure out what i'm trying to say lol

I know what you mean. But, some people are stupid. They would abuse it. They wouldn't want to admit they're wrong.

No, the point isn't power to the people. It's more power to the mods. Topic creators shouldn't get any more power over their topic then someone else. They can edit their posts and the title, but that's all.

Yes. People with power are scary. Imagine bringing democracy to the forums. Electing mods. What a horrible thought.

I don't want to get too political, so all I shall say is there are places for democracy, like a country, and there are places that aren't suited for it, like a video game designers forum.

Yes. Exactly. You can't give power to hordes of slobbering fans.
