Well, lately becoming a XBC user has crossed my mind many times as I feel the need to play Halo : CE more nowadays due to the amount of let us say ' racist pigs ' whom obviously love to waste their life attempting to insult someone because of their accent ( mine being British ).. anyway enough about my XBL woes.

For those of you here who have XBC i would like to pose the question of how good the XBC experience actually is, i've heard multiple opinions on the subject and before it is said yes i relise there is no communication system unless you buy seperate hardware, anyway would you say that XBC is of good quality so that I may end up choosing to play it ?

You're British? Do you live in England? I myself was born in Uxbridge, London, but live in the States.
As for XBC, I thought you could type messages through the keyboard?

Yes you can communicate through the chat window on XBC.

Halo 1 wasn't meant for online play. It was meant to be played over system link so imagine how the experience will be over the internet and long distances. EXTREME LAG. Games like Halo 2 play great through XBC on the other hand.

Just get someone who lives near you and you're set, and of course a great connection helps.

I have XBC, and ill tell you, its a game where if your host, your the winner. Much Like a shotguns match in Halo 2. You have to look for a good ping to join, otherwise its useless. I enjoyed XBC for a while, then It just became a nuisance (sp?). also, nobody would ever join my games, even though I had a good connection, so someone is very desperate you will never get a game.

Perfectly stated

I've played tens of thousands of games on XBC. Some are good, some are very laggy. I've played people with really low pings, then the games lag like crazy. Then play against others further away and see no lag at all. It's really hit or miss. I've had people say what a horrible connection I have, yet I have 5 meg up and down. Then the next people we play with no flaws at all.
