The new way they are doing graphics is awesome, haloman456! It's a revalutionary new technology called bump-mapping. It allows for better graphics with a HUGE lag reduction. Basically with bump-mapping, it makes a map of the model that instantly reacts to light to make real-time shadows that appear instantly (as in, without the aid of a script to add shadows) onto the character model. It provides a way to make better looking models with less polygon count. It allows for more detail in all character models (this includes human models, guns, vehicles, rocks, everything!), no need to run certain scripts, and lots of other things. There may be new options to turn off some additional graphics (such as moving clouds, swaying trees, etc.) to reduce lag if your connection isn't that strong. But as it is now, detail is not an issue of lag in Halo 2 (Finnaly I can do good on XBL [instead of on XBC, lol]).
