Hell.

Now these are the best graphics I've ever seen in real-time. Not to agitate the fanboys, but Doom 3 PC has _way_ better graphics than its Xbox counterpart and Halo 2. You seriously need to play this game if your system meets the recommended specs. If you scare easy you may want to pick up some adult diapers while you're out - personally, though, I found the demons to be more cool than scary. There are some scripted sequences and cinematics that are absolutely terrifying... You'll know what I mean when you get rushed by two-headed imps and when you acquire the plasma gun.

That's an opinion, not a fact. Many people on bungie.net seem to have those mixed up.

agreed. i mean, lets get this clear right now.... doom3 is a great game, and halo 2 will hopefully also be a great game. BUT, doom3 centres an atmosphere around claustrophobia, and the fear and surprise that come from it. Halo 2 will most likely centre its atmoshpere around large scale battles and huge, open ended environments. in other words, both are only similar because they come undert the FPS genre. if you dont like games with huge levels, of course youll think doom3 is better, and vice versa, so please, stop stating halo 2 as the best game ever as fact. at least say "i THINK halo 2 will bve the best game ever"

I love both because I like variety. For the big huge battles, though, I think Half-Life 2 is going to offer some competition.

Also Halo 2 will not be the best game ever. There is no one best game.

thank you mr grunt. and mr mare... how stupid are you? do you really think your opinion is so important that you singlehandedly make scientific fact? or has someone designed a scientific game testing device and halo 2 scored a perfect hundred, which is unlikely, due to the fact that, for instance, it DOESNT have technically at least, the best graphics, thus, making it impossible to score a perfect hundred, thus, making it impossible to be the perfect game.

These are the minimum requirements:
Pentium 4 1.5Ghz -or- Athlon 1.7Ghz XP
384MB of RAM
DirectX 9.0b compatible sound card
64MB Video Card

Don't worry though - I'm running it with delicious graphics and a playable framerate on an Athlon 1.2Ghz, a GeForce 4 Ti 4600 128MB, and 512MB of RAM.

You can also find some helpful performance-boosting tweaks here.

Doom 3 has nothing on Halo, more less Halo 2. Graphics is it. Graphics don't make a game. Hell, I played Doom 3 and found that Doom 2 is more satisfying. Go to a Doom forum and rant there, no one wants to play a game that is nothing but aesthetics.

I rest my case. If I want candy, I'll make sure its for my mouth and not my eyes.

Wasn't talking to you. Doom III is good PC affair, but it can't compair with Bungie. I bet the Ninjas are on their way to iD studios right now...

flaming ninjas, i trust. hey did that whole flaming ninja thing come from this hilarious quote?:

"Halo 2 is a lot like Halo 1, only it's Halo 1 on fire, going 130 miles per hour through a hospital zone, being chased by helicopters and ninjas ... And, the ninjas are all on fire, too"

but what happens if the id guys end up overcharging their bfg and merely gibbing themselves? anyway, yeah, this is far too doom 3 orientated for a bungie forum. oh, the ninjas might hide behind walls too. they do that quite a bit, those ninjas. at least, thats what tenchu has led me to believe.

well, battlefield ninja in shogun somehow managed to do it... though they werent on fire. the real question is, how long are the ninjas on fire for? i forsee the ninjas having some problems with being on fire for more than, say, 2-3 seconds. do they sneak around and only light themselves up for a critical moment/ when the cameras on them, are they wearing fireproof suits, or are they merely 'miscellanious?'

That's why they're overcooked; they're always on. That must hurt like a -blam!- too.
