My last post made it into the update. I hope this realizes how much in need these people are.

Trust me, it is no easy task to forfeit my Xbox 360 Fund.

Now go by the shirt. 10 years from now, it will remind you of how you helped victims of hurricane Katrina, and the best game known to mankind.

I'm in the Illinois Army National Guard, and my unit, the 107th Aviation is on standby. We can get the call at any moment to be sent down south. A Chinook (What I repair) can haul a lot of people from one place to another, so we're ready to go. Unfortunatly, I am not AIT qualified and still have another year of highschool to complete...So unless I can talk to the right people, if we do get deployed, I'm staying here, I'll be donating blood as soon as possible, and when my next check clears, I'll have enough cash on me to buy the T-Shirt, I only need about five dollers more, I wish I had it now, but when that check comes through on the 9th, I'll have the shirt ordered the same day, but I still hope to be deployed and sent down where I can really help people.

Where can I find pictures of the flood? I won't believe it unless I see it. No, don't give me your 'Pro-America Christian' crap, a link will do. And no, don't give me a link for fifty thousand blogs and news stories, pictures will do. And everyone else will see them if you linkify them on the forums as well.
If I had a credit card I'd probably buy a shirt, and then not wear it. Or donate anonymously. I don't like the idea of being identified as someone like that, and anonymous is fine for me.

Tx. The google image searches aren't giving me very much.
On the plus side, if anyone posts links of pictures here, then everyone can see them.
P.S. I read my previous post and it makes me sound like an -blam!-. Disregard it. Post pics and news for everyone to see. Make people aware.

I'm buyin' a shirt.

Here's a great site: http://www.mercyairlift.org/kits.htm

I'm organizing my school to help out with this.

And seriously, the stuff Bungie is doing is awesome. Media looks at video gamers as the punks, the lowest of the low, not worth the news unless they're being blamed for loss of box office sales or school shootings. Well, look at all we're doing to help out!

I'm off to buy a shirt.

My thoughts and prayers are with everyone down south. I've donated money to the Red Cross, bought T-shirts, and have managed to post the T-shirt link on several of the website groups I belong to. I just wish there was more I could do.

Thanks Bungie for getting this together. =)

I haven't read through all 11 pages yet so forgive me if others have stated this already but I think its a great idea what you are doing with the t-shirts. My wife and I order 2 just now!

I think it would be a great if Bungie could keep us updated on how the sales are going-might motivate others to buy! Maybe a counter, meter, graph or something on the home page to keep people aware and motivated.

Again...great idea.

Thank you Bungie for organizing the way that fellow gamers can help. I am (was?) a new orleans resident, but I am one of the lucky ones that had friends in north louisiana to shelter me, athough I do not have a house, job or possessions to go back home to. However, there are still tens of thousands of others that are not as fortunate as me. The devastation is absolutely unthinkable. Please people...Buy the shirt!!!

I left new orleans with a couple of weeks worth of cloths, my wife, my two year old son, one car, my xbox and all my games. Seeing the footage of those poor souls stuck in new orleans surronded by toxic watrer with no food, no water, no toilets: just think about it for a second and you start to feel the nightmare they must have gone through and some are still going through.

So here's what I did today...I went to EB games and sold six xbox games that I never play anymore, drove to the local red cross and gave them the cash. Don't misunderstand me, I am not trying to pat myself on the back, I am just trying to demonstrate that everybody can find a way to help. Anyway, thanks again bungie for getting the word out there that us gamers can help to.

It's great to get on and see even more being done. Just got power back at home, so I'm glad about that, but I'm even more thankful that I was able to escape the full brunt of the storm. My prayers are with all those affected.

And teh T-shirt - I love the concept! Definately buying one, and I hope many others will do the same.

This is a really nice thing for Bungie to do. Sorry to everybody who lost friends or relatives in the recent disaster.

Well my dad just bought an HDTV, getting ready for my 360. Now I found out that I can help out Bungie. So I'm going to cut people's grass for a bit of money, telling them about what Bungie's trying to do. I'm looking to but about 70 T shirts, one for myself and the rest, I'm giving to charity. I'm just a kid going to high school in Toronto ( to the dumbasses that don't know, that's in Canada ) I'm not an America fan, but if I can help out the world, I put my ass right on it. Plus, would an American help out a Canadian ?? I'm not sure that would happen, most American's are only America, don't care for the rest of the world. Well Bungie, I'm just saying that I'm working my ass off to buy all of ur stocks of Tees.

Well, I couldn't help much, because I myself just had almost $300 stolen from me this weekend. That was my bill money, which because of a recent lay-off, I was behind on already. So what did I do? Well I can't afford a $20 T-shirt. I wish I could though cause those rock. So I called and donated my cigarette money from this paycheck to the Red Cross. Only $10, but that will help someone. I am not posting this to kiss my own butt, I put this on here to tell people that if I can do this in my financial position, then they can too. I figured they need that money a lot more than my lungs do, lol. Great job on all the help so far, and good luck on the auction, Bungie. Later.....Do any of you have a smoke I can bum? lol

First off, I'm American, and I love America... I also love Canada (but I'm not particularly fond of Quebec), and I especially like Ontario. In my experience, Canadians (aside from those in Quebec) are some of the friendliest and nicest people in the world.

It's always disappointing to hear people badmouthing other countries, especially when I hear Americans doing it, because it just reinforces the hatred some people have toward America. And it absolutely sickens me when I hear news reports of people killing each other and shooting at people who are there to help. Just because civilization as you know it has been destroyed, doesn't mean it's time to stop acting civilized. Let's fight the problem, not each other.

Ok, I'm ranting here, but getting to the point, it's wonderful to see people like you on here supporting the cause. There should be more people like you in this world, and less people who say things like "I'm not going to help out because you're Americans" or "Screw this, I just want my Halo Update." Anyway, it's great to see all the support, and Bungie, I think the shirts are a great idea, and I will be purchasing several for myself, friends, and family.

P.S. Does anyone know how the sizes run on these shirts? Some brands seem to be way off on sizing. For example, a Hanes medium is about the same size as a Fruit of the Loom large. Thanks everyone.

This is truly the worst natural disaster ever to occur in The United States. My step dad is going down to Mississippi with the Red Cross to hand out foot and clear the debris. I may be able to go with him, but it might be tough, as i'm not 18. I can't even describe how much I want to be there and helping. He is talking to the Red Cross to see if I can go down there for 10 days to help also. I hope I can, I would rather do that than any vacation, no question.

Bungie, you rock for getting up and actually doing something. Sure, you see all the schools and charities raising money for the relief fund, but a gaming community?? That is truely awesome. I just bought one of your t-shirts and have been convinced by the comments from people that this is not enough for me to do. People are dying down there, and all my friends seem to care only about the rising gas prices (to be fair, not all, but most of my friends).

On the looting, I fully support the looting of grocery stores and other necessities. People need food and water, and half of the food has probably already gone bad from lack of energy to refrigerate. However, I hate hearing about gangs looting wal-marts of the guns, then posting armed guards at the doors to keep other looters out while the gang empties the wal-mart. That's just taking advantage of people's inability to protect themselves at this time. I was really glad when I heard that the national guard has been assembled to stop the looting.

I was just checking up on the bungie site today when I saw the WWU. I looked it over, and decided that this was an amazing thing. Even my mom, when I asked her if I could get a bungie shirt that sends profits to the red cross, was amazed, and agreed on the spot (she's usually harder to get to accept something like buying a T-shirt). I just want to say, Bungie, what you are doing is awesome and really amazing. Here is my heartfelt thanks for you doing all you can to help these people on the Gulf Coast. You are awesome. I can't stop saying it. I (heart) Bungie.

OK this was really weird. As I was writing this post, my iTunes was on shuffle (of 759 songs). Randomly, "God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood shuffled on. Coincidence? A very crazy one... And I would normally fast forward through the song to get to one i like better, but i simply could not this time.

God Bless the USA

Someone already mentioned this, but I will say it again. It would be great to see a counter or graph of how much money has been raised so far. You never know, it may inspire a few more people to buy a shirt when they see how many have already been sold.

Take care...

I have posted a message on the xbox.com forums urging them to post a link to american red cross on their home page. I applaud bungie for their efforts in raising money as well as offering a link to th red cross. If you believe xbox.com should post a link to the red cross on their home page, and are a member of the xbox forums then please visit my thread and reply as indicated in my post to show how they can help
