I've already bought the shirt and donated an aditional $100 to the salvation army and i'll continue to donate more every month as long as i can. I got to say though i think the best way to get the word out about what we're doing and how to help (and i already sent an e-mail to bungie about this) is through Halo 2 the game. We should all send messages to everyone in our friends lists to inform them of the severity of this disaster and how they can help.

It sure says a lot about your morals when you come to a thread with so much positiveness, something I've never really seen in the Halo community before, and try to ruin it the way you have... your an a-hole buddy.

BTW I bought the shirt, great idea Bungie!

You're getting off topic.

as well as messaging your frieds list, bungie should put something on the searching for games text box in matchmaking. just a little blurb about the t-shirt & maybe some numbers or links to the red cross for those who want to give more.

My buddies and myself are hard at work in our stix of a town in Alabama. My father has already moved South to aid with repairs and phone and cable issues. My buddy David and myself are each buying a "Fight the Flood" shirt, and I have already donated 37 nonperishable items to my school. My friend Corey and his family have filled up five, fifty-five galleon tanks with unleaded gas and sent them south for the relief help. I just wanted people to know that Holtville, Alabama is on the ball with helping the relief. Thanks.

Hurricane Katrina is one of the worst natural disasters in American history. In an effort to do what i can, i bought the shirt that bungie has for sale and my school is collecting bottled water and any other necessities of life that the people there cannot get. I encourage everyone to do something to help. Even if it is something as small as donating a few dollars. Anything will help the Red Cross help the victims of Hurricane Katrina

I would like to say that I've been watching all of the media coverage of the recent hurricane, and I am appalled. The US government is doing what they can , but it is not enough. Its almost a case of too little too late. The victims of the Asia Tsunami had supplies in two days. WTF?!?! How then could it take our own relief efforts, to help our own people, longer?!? I plan on donating blood in the next couple of days, and urge everyone to buy a flood shirt. In all seriousness, lets all make a difference. This could be an event that defines a generation. Please everyone, together we can make those affected by this horrible ordeal,
at least know that people care, and know that we're doing something to help. God bless

im very happy to see that relief is finally getting in. hoepfully this will turn things around downthere for now. just heard some of my family is ok. we've been waiting to hear any news about them since monday. i'll be going down at some point soon to help my parents with their homes. my dads neighborhood had massive wind damage. I cant even express how i feel for all the people that have lost family members and homes and the lives they knew. im grateful for knowing my family made it out ok, but then the guilt sets in because i know thousands more are no where as lucky as i am. theres no light at the end of their tunnel right now, just darnkness. hopefully their lives will be rebuilt either back in new orleans or elsewhere. i want tokeep thinking positive, but its just so hard when reality is staring you in the face. its an end, but we also have to think its a new beginning as well.

Let me start off by saying that what Bungie is doing is an amazing good deed and should be recognized by all that care. It was a bold effort of them to step up and take the intiative to spearhead the effort to assist the Gulf. I am truly in awe of you, Bungie. Never did I expect this from a game developer, and you have shown not only me, but the world that the good in people like you is ever present in today's world. Right on guys, RIGHT ON.

Wow. I have never seen a video game company go out of it's way to help any disaster. This a great thing that you all are doing. As soon as I can I'm gonna buy a fight the flood shirt to help further the cause. Rise up Bungie Army!! Rise up!! Also my deepest sympathy for anyone who has lost any friends or family. You rock Bungie.

I have one question to all people who visit the maw frequently and know Inspire. He's a friend i met playing during halo before i got involved in bungie and he's in my clan as a leader. I talked to him a lot and found that he lives in louisiana. This is the part that sorta worries me. I haven't heard from him in several... several days. It might be that his power is just out or that he's busy with college, But i haven't been able to talk to him. I even sent him an email (Which, as a promise to him a cant give out) And two hours later i got a rejection notice saying the email was sent but nothing was there to accept it or even go into the account. If he hates me for this, Then im sorry but i will tell you that his name is Clinton Lovell and he is 21 or 22. I have done many people searches and have found that there are a few Clinton Lovells in Louisiana. One of which said a man of age 21. I dunno if it was him but i am prepared upon request from others to send them mail or even possibly call them. If youv'e heard from him post it hear or pm me please. God Bless...

I'm buying a T-shirt and sending the link to do the same to all of my buddies who aren't on live and don't frequent this site but play at home with their friends. I'm probably going to circulate this around my church for ALL of the guys I game with.

I'm also going to send them the information about the upcomming auction. that auction was a GREAT idea. I'm really proud of you guys (bungie) for stepping up. I was going to write you guys a letter today about this, but you beat me to the punch.

This disaster is heart breaking. It's hard not to just bawl when you see these kids under a year old in the arms of people they don't know because their parents have been washed away or are just missing. It's hard to fathom what these people are going through.

We're all so used to seeing these disasters in the movies. I don't think anyone but the people who are there really understand what the devastation is really like. God help them, and let us help.

A large chunk of the helpdesk I work on is going to volunteer. Some are going to tulsa to man phones. Others are heading down to mississippi. I am the sole income provider in my family of three (soon to be four), so buying a T-shirt, participating in the auction, and spreading the word are the LEAST I can do.

I hope everyone else who is unable to travel will do the same. There are a LOT of fans who don't read this site. Spread the word.

And everyone should remember that not only can we offer our money, but we can offer our prayers as well. The people down there are desperate and will take any help they can, so we should do all we can to help them

Also, Bungie, I think it's great what you guys are doing here. Good job.

This is really nice what yall are doind here and my family is donating what we can to the cause and I'm begging my parents on hands and knees to buy the T-shirt, not just because I love it but because I want to help with the cause. We only have years before we become extinct maybe and I wanna do as much as I can till the end!!

I live 50 miles off New Orleans and it's not horrible here. We have no cellphone reception, no phone lines work for a long time, and power goes out from time to time. last night was my first night in my bed since last week with family coming to get an air conditioned bed. And I'll be lucky if I get it 2 nights next week.
