It is so horrible to what the hurricane has done to not only New Orleans but the surrounding areas as well. The past week or so I have been watching the news regularly and the amount of damage is unreal. I can't do much myself only being 15, but my family has already donated what money we can to those in need. I really hope for the best as a couple of my friends live near New Orleans. I wish everyone who has been affected good luck.

Tell it like it is Bungie. Let's help out the people in New Orleans. I'm sure my family is donating. Let the good people of Bungie and the Bungie Community give some help. <3

If I could lend my hand, I truly would. But at the young ripe age of 16, there is not much that I can do to help. I plan on joining the United States Army, and helping people by defending them and their freedoms. So consider me in debt, as I cannot lend my help here. But I will pay back this debt, and get my good credit back!

I say, evolve, and let the chips fall where they may.

This is amazing. Never before have I seen a level of commitment from a game company. Never. You all deserve a round of applause. Me and my friends - we live in Canada - have been so moved by this, that we too plan to donate.

Thank you Bungie.

I live in Georgia and there were 2 tornadoes in my county, but thats nothing compared to what happened to New Orleans and Lousiana/missipi(sorry about spelling)/ and Alabama. One of my uncles was actually in New Orleans a couple of days before the storm. Hopefully George Bush and the American Red Cross will be able to help everyone there and get them food, water, and shelter. I'm watching fox news right now and there are tons of people there without transportation or food and water. 80% of New Orleans was also flooded, but I hope everyone there and safe and I also hope that everyone will pray for them to be safe and stuff like that.

I live in Britain, we don't really have weather extremes, but my family scraped together and donated to the Tsunami fund and this is no different, we got together £500 between us. I'm sure I speak for all of Britain in offering our sincere empathy at this time....

My brother was one of the thousands of people evacuating NO. He now resides in Huston, TX with a friends parents. He took what he could with him, which wasn't much. My family is helping him out. As we watched the news, we saw from the camera mounted on the CNN Helicopter his neighborhood. It was a horrible sight, all of the houses were completely coverd by the flood. The only thing that we could see was the roof. Because of Katrina, my brother lost most of his belongings. I am donating money every month to the Red Cross, and to other charity that helps the citizens of New Orleans. I hope this story, along with the rest posted here on this forum, will inspire more people to help the people who were all hurt in some way by Katrina.

That is truely sad... people who shoot other people like that deserve to be swept away by the rising waters.

Is there anyway we can get a "group donation" going. The Trolls have been discussing it and think it would be a good idea. We are willing to donate individually or as a group and urge others to do the same. Some of us have allready donated but are willing to donate again to a group effort. Mods what do you think?

Today 800 people died in a bomb accident in Iraq, I would rather send money to them, instead of a people that has acces to help.

I'm here in Houston, TX and a ton of people are coming here for refuge. I work for the Houston Chronicle, the major paper in Houston and that has just torn me up inside seeing what people have been through. I am organizing a food drive for all businesses in the area to donate food. It will hopefully bring some nice response. Every little bit counts.

If you have the means, do something! Make a difference NOW!

Been here 6 years, been blacklisted 6 times, that's why I'm not Mythic.

I would help but I'm only 14. Yesterday I played with a guy who's brothers and sisters live down there. Some sad stuff.

I gave $25 to the Red Cross today. I plan on giving more the next time I get paid. Those people really have it rough.

You can go to redcross.org and give any amount through the web.

i really dont mean to be rude but i would like to discuss this...

what did u think would happen when u built a city i think about 6 feet under sea level? something was going to happen

i am canadian, i am sorry to hear about your loss, i will be donating to the american red cross just like i did for the tsunami victims but really, did u think everything was going to be fine???

again i am sorry but i'm just thinking out loud, ne one wanna discuss this with me?

"I'm not going in there with Too Jedi"

I feel sorry for the people that have been affected by this disaster, I live in the UK (Cornwall) but have made a Red Cross donation all the same. Last year a 400 year old village near us was completely washed away by flash floods, and that was in August for gods sake.

I truly feel sorry for the Gulf coast, maybe that idiot that runs your country will sign up to the Kyoto treaty now and things like this will slowly become less of an issue, perhaps it hitting home about climate change will make the administration realise what the US is doing to the rest of the world by not doing their part for the environment.

The amount of dead in Iraq today does put things into perspective though; many countries around the world do not have the support infrastructure that the US and other developed countries have.

You are lucky that there are resources to help in such times, tragic news all the same though.

I'll be donating as well; anyone can make a difference. This flood truly is a nightmare, plus as if looters and gunslingers weren't bad enough, supposedly the waters are slowly becoming infested with alligators and venomous watersnakes from the local flooded bayous. It truly is a death trap down there and I hope for the best.

I live in Pensacola,Florida and I rode out Hurricane Ivan and Dennis and I know what it is like. Hurricanes are no fun and should not be underestimated. People are in a panic all the time and only people like me can understand how miserable they are due to the conditions, and I can understand why people loot, me and my friends did it after Ivan, you get hungry after a week of no food or water. I know that Katrina was much worse than Ivan or Dennis, but it also depends on where the storm hits, remember this. I contribute to the red cross and I have donated all 15 boxes of my Military rations (good stuff) to the red cross for relief which I still have from recent hurricanes (they have a shelf life of five years) and we also give cash donations, so from a personal experience, try to lend a hand, hurricanes really suck. And I give a great deal of thanks to Bungie for doing this, rock on and think of those in need.
