Even though I'm only 16, I've been scrounging up what cash I can and plan to donate it all to the relief. I also want to send supplies down there like clothes and stuff.

this hurricane has brought the worst out of some but the best out of most I wish you could see how people are helping around here a record number of students at my school are donating blood you can't drive down the highway without seeing everyother car packed with luggage and if a car brakes down on the side of the road at least two cars stop to help out, a coach at my school has 18 I'm not exaggerating 18 people living in his four bedroom house it's truley heartwarming to see this.

I have donated the money that I would have spent in buying a new pair of pants that I needed to the American Red Cross--it is all I have, at the moment. I will be trying to get my company to start a fund-raiser or at least match donations from employees.

Good luck and godspeed to all the victims of Katrina's wrath!

I'm a Norwegian-turned-aussie and know a thing or two about storms and hurricanes, but this has blown me away. Promptly donated to the red cross, urging all others, especially the international Bungie Community to do the same.

While many of the comments about American aid to the world and back raises excellent points, i think there is a time and a place for that discussion to be had. This is NOT the time. For now, please donate and help in whatever way you think you can.

Many thanks to Bungie for doing their bit in these troubled times. Bite your tounge Bungie Haters!

Tuition hit me hard this year but I did give the $20.00 of what was left of my XBox 360 fund. The other part of it went to tuition. Now it's back to square one but it is for a good cause.

Im in Australia and i dont have a credit card, being only 17 i have no way of donating any money :(
Id just like to say my thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved in the disaster and that everyone who is able should lend a helping hand. Its times like this when everyone has to band together!

Id also just like to give props to all the guys who are donating their xbox 360 funds to these people in need. To alot of gamers here, the 360 is the most important thing in gaming history and i think you should all be commended for such a selfless act.
Kudos to you all :)

and i thank those who agreed with me

when is the last time u heard ne thing on the new about the tsunami?
i havent heard ne thing (mainstream TV) but all of a sudden they bring it up cause something happens to the states.

well ok i get that 1 2 or maybe even 3 or 4 thousand ppl are dead and something like billions of dollars of property have been lost

but this was one country and most of the damage occured in 4 or 5 states

but hey... u guys are damn lucky as i see it, the tsunami hit 12 or so countries and killed hundreds of thousands of ppl and probably destroyed a lot more property than u can even imagine

so i put it like this, for those who want to criticize what i say, awesome i could care less but just look at the world as a whole and not just the USA

i not trying to hurt ne bodies feelings but instead of complaining about gas prices and how u have it so bad, think about the others that have it worse

peace!

I'm not sure if anyone else said that they are currently living in New Orleans, but I do (or did, not sure on the house situation) as well as all of my clan. Anyway, I live on the west bank side of the river. Fortunately, there was no flooding near my house; but I fear for wind damage because I had two giant trees surrounding my house. I can't say the same for my fellow clan members because they all live in Metarie and Kenner, where the heaviest flodding is present. I evacuated early enough to Tunica, Mississippi, where I am in Best Western. I have yet to be in touch with any of my clan members.

I am definitely lucky seeing as how I can actually go to my house and how I have power and food. Even though I can go to my house on Monday or so, I won't be able to live there for about two months. My family and I are renting an apartment in Baton Rouge for the time being, so as you can see I am very blessed that I have all of what I have.

Please, send all that you can. There are thousands of people alot worse off than I am. I still can't even believe what happened. It just doesn't seem real. We, the city of New Orleans (the entire Gulf Cost, really), need all that we can get. Every donation is important, no matter the size. It's very heartwarming to hear all of your donations, epsecially those from another country. Keep sending what you can.

On a side note, I managed to snag my Xbox during the evacuation; so if you see me online (it will be somewhat rare to see me online), lend me your prayers.

Amen to that - I apologize if my language sounded "loaded" to anyone, that's certainly not what I was trying to accomplish. I'm just praying that the losses of these people can be rectified.

Now, how to help! Hopefully, putting this link here will be okay. A group called the Compassion Alliance is rasing money to pay for food, water, and ice in the Gulfport/Biloxi area, which was also hit hard by Katrina. I've donated, and strongly urge others to do the same - it'll make a world of difference. Here's the link: Relief Donations. If you have any questions, send me a PM.

Just curious, aside from the Red Cross, does anyone know of another place accepting donations within the NO area? Any help would be appreciated...
