The Elites are tough. I beat them once by putting a Ghost in the little back alley and blocking the two entrances. I never was much good at beating those Elites straight up though.

The End

‘The conscious is cancerous if allowed to linger’

"Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there."

It is very difficult. I personally built myself an armory in the room next to the alley. Block the doors by using a ghost to ram dustbins infront of the doorways (you can also move them with the sword, slashing them if I recall correctly which is good for fine tuning)- note elites can and will climb over them and through the 'window' to attack you - although this will greatly slow them so you can fight them one at a time.

In the room itself drop as many plasma pistols and battle rifles as you can (noob combo is the most effective tool against overshield strength ultras). It is still ridiculous but this method is probably your best bet.

Good luck!

These tips are right on, I do things different but the same.

Firstly, I have to have sputnik, it makes moving objects around alot easier. Typically I will build myself fortifications, you have to have places to hide and recharge when the elites start to number over 3. If you look at what is available to you, the big trash bin, the covie weapons boxes, several crates, a number of gas cylinders and one big slab of flat something or other, they all have different uses. I have found that the most of the elites will not jump on top of, or over much of anything. There are strategic spots for different items I noted above that make for a much easier time getting the elites bottled up and easier to kill and hide from. The one nice thing is that the elites always spawn in a predictable pattern, and even stay in certain spots. This makes it much more feasible to get certain things done like building the fort, collecting weapons and ammo and general surveillance. I have a plan on the fort building, what goes where and when it gets put there, but it is impossible to describe here, I can draw it out and email it to anyone who wants it. It is a real time saver, especailly if you can manage to get a checkpoint along the way. That really is nice when one starts to die, alot, when the 5-7 number waves come along to play. Email is rgoodman@americainhome.com, feel free to ask.

Same here. I've got a saved game with my little horde of guns. xD

Tips: Put the Envy Skull on.
