Ok, so i bought an adapter to be able to use my playstation 2 controller on my pc, so far its a success, i played halo pc with it and it works great, but i tried to play halo 2 vista with it and all the controls are great and they work but on the right thumb stick i cant look from side to side like left to right, only up and down, i can move its just i cant turn or look around. I wanna know if theres a program, tutorial or anything like that to fix that problem. I also have tried to change controls so like i can use the buttons to look around but its VERY uncomfortable. Please help! i am also aware that you can use a xbox360 cord controller to play halo 2 vista with it and i have done that before but it broke. Please help me cause i really want to play halo 2 vista using my controller, i hate my mouse it has VERY low sensitivity and yes i did change it to the highest it can go in options but its still the same. Thats why i am in desperate need of help.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I tried various hacks and workarounds for a few different controllers, and nothing worked. I was successful using both the horrible 360 controller and a Logitech Rumblepad. The game doesn't allow configuration of joystick axis, so you can only really use what it allows. Now that developers are focusing on Xinput (360 controller protocol) it's going to be hard to use any controller with future games if it's not compatible with the Xbox 360. Lame, but there's not much we can do about it.

About the mouse thing: It's not your mouse. It's a bug in the game's code, and no one at Microsoft will fix it. A workaround some people use is forcing Vsync for your video card, or the FPS Limiter, or both. Any frame rate higher than 30 FPS makes the mouse controls less responsive. I'm sorry you ended up buying the windows version of Halo 2 in the first place. It's ruined.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.
Xfire: JacobGRocks.
50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

About the controller, for whatever reason, h2v (and newer games) don't let you configure the controller. They only support 360 controllers (xinput).
