To answer your question about where to PK, I would start small. Learn the basics first, so that when you do have an opportunity to visit a cool place (Like Rabican going to Paris) you will be able to break loose. Most of the small stuff you could learn right around your house if you have a deck, or a railing anywhere. If you have a fence, or even just a wall, there are lots of things you can practice. If you don't have any of this, you could always set up a sawhorse in the yard, or something. ;)
Exercising is also very important, especially for your knees and ankles. You absolutely must have excellent muscles to stabilize these joints, or else you will damage them. You'll see what I mean when you work your way up to 15-foot drops onto cement. :)
But, again, start with the small stuff. Learn to balance really well, get a feel for how your body moves and what it can do. If you're afraid to try something, DON'T. In PK, there is no shame in backing out of something you can't do yet. You will just end up getting hurt if you try it. Once your basic skills have progressed to the point where you feel confident, give it a go. Start small, work your way up. Good luck! :)
