Mr Man-
Sweet! There is PK to be had everywhere, If you look. ;)
Right now I"m working on my rolls, I'm still trying to get good with them on concrete. I'm thin and the bones in my back tend to hit the ground. :(
There is this really cool wall with a rail on top, and I love monkey vaulting the rail over the drop, then rolling out of it. It looks and feels really cool. The best thing, though, is when I can just run around the town and fly through really difficult parts- over the wall, roll out of the drop, vault the rail, run along that wall, up and over that wall, roll, etc. So much fun! :)

Well, I'm here :) (By the way, did you ever see the Japanese movie, the Mysterians?) Anywho, cool stuff that I have done... umm... There about at 8 1/2 foot tall cement wall with a railing on top that I like to wall run and vault over, that's a blast ;) I also like doing cat leaps onto a shed at my grandma's house, and then climbing it. And, uh, monkey vaults really :)

And two things I hate, drops and rolls. I've got a bum right knee (I dislocated my knee cap twice last year) and I weigh approximately 190 lbs. Not the best feeling on your feet and knees, let me tell you. And I just plain suck at rolls :P

Just banged my knee really hard on a rail today- got a little too "lazy" with a lazy vault. The rail made a "bong" noise when my knee hit it, and now it's all swelled up. :( Luckily, after it hit I lifted it out of the way, so I didn't go flipping headfirst over the rail- to my doom!

Lesson: Concentration is needed at all times, and experience with a move is no excuse for sloppiness or lack of focus.

Hmm, I had some pain today too. Let me illustrate: there is a 10 ft tall trailer in my grandma's back yard. It has metal sides with ridges (the only real source of grip). There is a 3 foot gap from the ground to where to metal starts on the trailer. As I planted my foot for the wallrun onto the trailer, my foot slipped off the metal (there was apparently a lot of wet leaves on the ground), and continued on under the trailer. Meanwhile, my body continued moving forward at a very good pace. Needless to say I collided with the trailer. My elbows and knee slammed into the metal, and then I fell off. Very cartoonish looking I must add, and quite funny if you're someone watching. :)

Have you guys ever noticed that everybody who talks in the forums are recent members. There are barely any people from 2002 and ive only saw a few 2003 members. Whats up with that.

By the way, Join my group called "Covenant Gathering". I need to get more members.

Wonderful, just the kind of attention I need. :)
Want a cool PK vid? Check out this: http://www.le-parkour.com/usa.parkour.mpg
There are NO SPECIAL EFFECTS used in this vid. None. NO SAFETY NETS, ROPES, ANYTHING. DO NOT DO THIS AT HOME!!!
Sorry for the yelling, but all this is important. ;)

Here's another sweet video, an ad for Nike featuring Sebastien Foucan, one of the founders of parkour. http://www.boreme.com/bm/AUG02/a/angry_chick/jump_fr.htm

(By the way, you'll need quicktime player to play this movie, and it doesn't work too good with Internet Explorer, but it is UNBELIEVABLE, especially since it's ALL REAL)
