I think that PC Gamer Analyst dude had the right idea. I've already bought a Fight the Flood T-shirt, and a couple other shirts from the Bungie store. But the Xbox 360 doesn't even come out for another 2 or 3 months! I'm donating all $450 I've saved for the xbox to the Katrina victims. What do I need to save xbox money for??? There's people DYING! Even if you are in high school and work at McDonalds, you can make enough money for an Xbox 360 by next month!!! DON'T WAIT! SEND YOUR MONEY! You're not using it anyway...

Even if I'm not able to save up enough by the time the xbox comes out, I'll still be very, VERY happy. Sure, we might not be able to provide as much as people or companies with enormous amounts of money, but even if we can save just ONE extra life, who cares about games???? If you're saying to yourself "But I've worked hard for this money. I HAVE to have an xbox 360." Then shame on you. You wouldn't be saying the same thing if YOU were stuck down a sewer -- you'd be more like "How can they let me die down here because of some stupid GAMES?!?"......

EDIT: And who really CARES what country you're from??? I don't give a crap what you think of America. And I don't care what any Americans think of other countries! It's a true lack of character if you WON'T HELP PEOPLE IN NEED just because you don't like their country, their ethnicity, or their leader.

answer me this... america is the ricest country in the world right? and there asking every 1 in the world to help? but wen parts of england was under water did america help? did england ask for help? NO america is full of selfish rich ass snobs and ur president sucks he cud sort the problem right now but he aint, he wud rather spend the money on having soldiers killed

People are dying on the Gulf Coast. DYING! Sure, we may be a rich country, but that doesn't mean we can't ask for some help in saving our people who are dying. Not everyone here is rich. Have you seen the photos of the refugees? There are hundreds of thousands of people who have no homes to go to right now. That seems like a major disaster to me. I think that our country would have to be really full of itself and its own importance to not take a dose of humility and ask for some help. Do i run the country? No, i'm just a teenager who's trying to get through high school, but i still donated. I also think its great how many other countries are coming to our aid. Even Cuba is donating. We don't even have any official diplomatic relations with Cuba...
Here's a link to the CNN site w/ a list of all the countries donating: CNN . Simply have some compassion for fellow humans who are dying and donate some money. Even if it is only a dollar (or euro or whatever).

I live in Thibodaux Louisiana (Lafourche Parish (County)) about 40 miles south of New Orleans, Louisiana. Our parish has had alot of problems, but it is nothing compared to New Orleans. I work at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux which is serving as a transition shelter for many of the residents impacted by the storm. I have seen first hand the devistation that this storm has brought. These people have no idea what there next move is, they have lost everything. Some have lost more than just their homes but also there family members. I was so excited to see that Bungie has found a way to help these victims. Please help out by purchasing one of these shirts. Even though I was affected by the hurricane i am purchasing one and i hope everyone esle helps out because the halo community is such a big one!

I agree with everyone here (unless there's a jerk along the line who doesn't care). Did you guys know that the death tole might reach about 10,000? donate some money, even if it's 5$, think about it, that can pay for a meal, and you might just save someones life.

Maybe bungie shoulda though about some kind of fundraiser when the maps came out for charge. Instead of making profit off of it, they should have just donated all of that to something of a good cause.

I might have trusted them more then.

Bungie is a video game company. They are now doing something good to help out people in distress and all you can do is rag on them for making a profit for what they do for a living? Grow up.

I didnt read the whole thread , but I would love to buy the shirt. But you dont seem to make the -blam!- in my size....ahem *xxxl = I am very tall and big ;-)

I will probably pick one up for my buddy though. He is pretty small and fits into an XXL.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20050906/ap_on_re_us/katrina_refug ees__ hk4

Read that.

You would think, by being on these forums, that I would be used to people -blam!-ing about unimportant stuff. But no. The Vanity of those people pisses me off. People are dying, and instead of helping, they -blam!- about one word. God help this country.

I live in Lake Charles, LA, 3 hours to the west of New Orleans. Please buy a shirt. You cannot understand what these people are going through. We have thousands of refugees staying in and around our city. These people have nothing. Everything they had was flooded and destroyed. I volunteered to stay at a camp where some people were staying. Most of the people there had nothing to go home to. They have been forced to move and start their whole lives over. One of my best friends doesn't even know where his sister is. There are countless stories like this. Please do everything you can to help these people and keep them in your prayers.

This is probably going to come off the wrong way... but I have to say it anyways.

I live in Florida. My entire family is in Florida. I would like to ask the board a question.... Where was the Red Cross comercials, the Network television marithons and hotlines, and the Bungie save the victums t-shirts when myself and every member of my family lost our homes? Thousands would have died last year had we not of actually listened to authorities and left when we did.

Don't get me wrong, I feel for the people that lost thier homes in New Orleans. It just rubs me the wrong way every time a storm hits and everyone goes nutts to help... Pensicola recieved no help, no network TV time or Red Cross special 800 numbers. Like those that live in New Orleans, my home, and many others, is gone. The house I grew up in as a kid, and hoped to bring my children to, is only a foundation slab. While the looting wasn't as bad in Pensicola, I personally have had to chase many people off my Grandparents' and neighbors' propoties as they searched through other peoples recked homes for valubles they could steal. Why did Florida not get the compashion that New Orleans is now being given?
