I witnessed Kartina passed over here on Miami, and I gotta say that by the looks of it, what we suffered was the equivalent of a scratch. All that happened except for Homestead (which flooded), all the storm did was knock down every third tree in the street and parks as well as killing power for a week for some residents (put me out for four days). I've never seen a Hurricane sack a town so horrible that the water swallowed homes almost completely...even the dead can't get a break! Did you see the coffins were unearthed by the flooding? Unreal..

I have to admit that by the way things are going right now in New Orleans. I am ashamed that people are turning against each other. There has been looting, rapes, all sorts of problems that have gone unchecked for a while. Hopefully with the arrival of the National Guard, things will calm down and order will be restored. Still, I cannot believe that anyone would use the opportunity to kick people when they're down. New York turned out to be much more civilized than this during 9/11 (or is that because the media did not reveal such information?). Supplies aren't what they need most; they need to be protected from thieves who rob them of all they have left. Stopping that will save lots of people and should help recovery time significantly.

With all the ensuing chaos out there, the people in New Orleans are drinking water directly from the floodwaters. I implore you not to do this before either chemically treating this water or boiling it because that is how people will get sick and more casualties will arise from it. I know it may be difficult to boil water on the rooftops, but you must understand that impatience for water will eventually doom yourself to a painful death from disease. If anyone has a feasible solution, please let them know. They need the help, and even if we have a large amount of supplies ready to be sent to them, many will not be able to get them for some time. They will be on their own for a while and solutions are what they need most.

Please understand that this is my opinion and although you may not like it, I ask you to respect it. I accept constructive criticism, but don't stretch it too harshly without cause.

By the way, sorry for posting on such a massive collection of words. Thank you for spending the time to read this.

i live in MS. and whats sad on my part is that i really didnt even pay one second to the storm. until well. my power went out and it was right above me. THANKFUlly we were on the left side of the eye and as much destruction as we recieved.. it is nothing compared to the gulf coast.. if yall havent heard our COAST is GONE.. all the casino's gone.. all the old antebellum houses gone.. and whats so hard still to this day is gas. people have been shot and killed for "cutting lines".. its so bad down here i was talking to my friends today none of us realized how thankfull we were to have power back on and an actual house to come home to. this whole time even now im so worried about this one girl that i have spent so much time with but doesnt know if she wants to be with me.. its sad i know. but all i remember is sitting outside on the porch (true southern style) and watching the wind just blow the trees atleast 7 8 stories tall all the way over till they broke..literally people are going insane now. gas has gotten to everyones heads.. the Entergy trucks have no gas to deliver power! cops have to guard the gas stations that do have whats left of gas. and people are still fighting. and someone mentioned today that ANOTHER STORM was FORMING off the gulf coast again.. i hope he was just kidding.. mY THANKS to bungie for this and everyone that has actually given a D am about our state and LO.

i do ask for another favor though.. when people from these 2 states like me! are playin halo.. please dont crack jokes about the storm.. its amazing that some people would actually do that it makes me so dam mad.. cmon please Thanks yall appreciate it to the people who read all of this.. much love keep it real!

im gonna ask my parents to get this shirt, it looks cool and its for a good cause.
i cannot believe how some idiots want to know about h2 matchmaking more than they want to help people who are dying. For you people who are saying that they had enough warning to get out of there (N1sFINEST), you need to understand that the majority who stayed behind are poor and couldnt afford to run. They couldnt afford to take a plane, and the highways were jam packed.

WOW! Stupidity has hit an all time low as of today. People are trying to save your sorry ass, and you shoot them?!!! I'm sorry but that's just out of my league for interpretation. SOMEONE please take a crack at this.

what has happened is just terrible. I live on Gulf side of Florida and was one of the lucky ones. The hurricane just spun north of us and could of done a lot more damage if it had came more south. My dad does insurance down in here for hurricanes and what a bad business to get into. Car insurance is one thing cuz you never lose money in huge #'s. I have faith in my dad that his company is strong enough and dont believe he has many people up there that insured with them. But other wise its just terrible.

After getting my pay-check, i donated it all to Red Cross for just karma.(Paycheck was $290). I mean, even the police are going into walmarts and just taking stuff. This recovery is gonna be so long. And the even worse part is that Mardi Gras will be either cancelled or moved this coming year.

PS: Im gonna buy shirts with my next paycheck and sell them for $30 each. All people at my school are willing to donate and then ill head over to one of the Red Cross Charity and dump the money. Im not gonna make any money out of this and as well lose all i started with. Money is nothing to me when people need it more then I do.

My uncle lived in Pennsicola and it just barly missed him. I havnt contacted him but im sure he flead to my Grandparents house in Orlando. Many people have died and are still dieing from disease. Help them by donating!

I just bought a shirt and am encouraging all of my friends (and enimies) to go and buy these shirts. I had been looking for a feasible and fun way to help out those poor sad people, and here it is.

You rock Bungie.

Buying a t-shirt is a much more feasible and intelligent way of supporting the population than say, using your Halo 2 skills as your combat skills by walking into N.O. with a 12-gauge and being a vigilante. I'm sorry, but as much as I'd like to help, I'd rather not become a casualty myself.

I can't believe that the people's outrageous claims have credibility on what's going on in New Orleans. Here's some form of proof, for now:

Have fun reading this, but trust me in that having this happen to your town sucks.

Yea guys, buy a T-shirt you dont even have to wear it, it would show your support if you did, and people will ask you about the shirt and they will say "hey, whats that shirt about", and when you tell them its about helping the hurricane they will say, wow, thats really cool. So come on guys, just buy the shirt, they really need it down there.

Imagine if everyone that came to this site, bought a T-Shirt.

Imagine the Diffierence

Now imagine if everyone bought 2 T-Shirts.

Get one for your girlfriend (or boyfriend) to wear. Support the nation together.
