I've taken down a wraith tank with nothing but two plasma rifles. True story.

R.I.P. Halo 2
11/9/04 - 4/15/10

I went through multiple rooms in AoTCR, killing all who dwelt within without them ever know I was there.

One of the times, in the room with only two hunters. I shot one hunter in the neck with my sniper as he stretched it out, and the bullet went through and hit the other hunter in the back. Two hunters dead, and one empty cartridge on the ground next to me. And of course, they were never aware of my existence.

Once i was corned in by the flood and I was going to die and the robots that fly and shoot laser took out all of them. Then I blew up 6 covenant with 1 plasma grenade.

Yes, it is off topic, you could have made your own thread.

It supports 16 players, however it only supports 4 Xboxs. And it's better to use Xbox original consoles by the way. Xbox 360s de-synchronize a lot.

Juan Bernardo

I pretty much sucked at the whole campaign. I suppose my favorite part was doing co-op on Truth and Reconciliation and assinating rooms of people. Then my most gratiful moment was when I managed to toss a sticky in the air and knock off a banshee and then kill everybody else and get into the second banshee that I wasn't expected to get in.

Jeez, guys.
Before there were achievements, I made it through every level on Legendary without dying. It took a lot of time and tries, but I got it done. I know it's possible for anyone else to do it.

I beat 343 Guilty Spark without loosing a Marine.

It took me so long to get it right though, it fact, it took over the course of a month.

This may seem like bragging, but so what!

All feats on legendary, per the OP rule:

1-I have completed the first 5 levels (PoA, Halo, T & R, SC and AotCR) using MELEE AND GRENADES only, never firing one shot from a weapon. No vehicle splatters were used on any level with a warthog on it. No enemies or battles avoided, every enemy dies.

2-I have completed the Library using nothing more than grenades and plasma pistols. No enemies avoided, no running through battles.

3-During T & R, never once firing the sniper rifle, but carrying it the whole level as 1 of 2 weapons.

I will have to come back with more, as I am out of time!

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

I love trying to tap out all the enemies in those rooms without them knowing one of my favorite levels from CE.

I stuck a Elite while he was in a Ghost. I was so excited by this lucky stick that I forgot about the Wraith.

It's not really that badass, but I haven't played Halo CE enough to provide anything else.

Should have said you avoided the vehicle battles. It would have been more convincing.

By the Sacred Rings we shall Prevail!

i have done alot of things that seemed cool but i dont know if their legendary, so here goes:
1. i beat down the gold swordsman on AoTCR without shooting him or assassination on legendary.
2. melee killed a flood carrier form on legendary and survive the blast and infection forms.
3. beat the entire campaign on ledgendary with a N64 controller (usb adapter on my PC best $20 ever spent)
4.killed 2 elites before they started driving the wraiths (tank on AoTCR, sniper rifle on TT).
5. got 1 hunter to freindly fire kill the other one.

thats all i got for CE

To the contrary, it is quite possible:

Ghosts cannot be melee'd, but the occupant of the ghost can be taken out of his seat by a well placed grenade near or on him, taking him off. Then he can be melee'd to death, or plasma'd. There is also a tactic for use in open spaces where there are vehicles available for cover which is to melee the vehicle along the ground, moving it closer to groups of covies. By doing this while crouched you can move the cover along with you allowing you to get close enough to use the grenades to greater effect. It is not impossible, but it does take a ton of patience.

As for Wraiths, they can be taken out with Plasma grenades rather simply, you just have to hit it with enough of them. Hell, Banshees only take a single plasma most of the time, you just have to bait it down to your level and get a good closet range throw.

There are plenty of plasma grenades laying around if you do not waste them taking out low numbers or ground troop enemies, or you take them out in clusters with well placed throws. Once a single grenade goes off killing an elite it sends jackals and grunts into a bit of a defenseless tizzy, when you throw from close enough you can easily move in and take out most of the remaining low level enemies without taking any real heat.

You can do this, I have done it, it just takes patience, skill, and strategy. It was a pain in the butt to do, it took me 4 days to complete AotCR like this, but it was worth the time and effort just to know it could be done. Just because you see no way of getting it done does not mean that there are others of us out here who have been able to do things you cannot even conceive of.

The way you put it makes your post sound convincing. How many plasma grenades does it take to kill a Wraith?

Did you do this without taking breaks?

Don't worry, you're still your mom's favorite Bnet member.

Completed The Maw with nothing but the Plasma and Rocket (for the engines only).
Yup.

  • 08.10.2010 5:50 PM PDT

T&R without using the sniper. The first sleeping grunt I sneak up on and whack with the AR. I switch to sniper and swap for the plasma pistol. That first firefight is kinda tough, but the rest of the level is pretty straightforward if you are decent at tagging elites. The dude patrolling that platform in the hangar bay can be a bit difficult.

Yeah, based on available time to play, levels were not completed in 1 sitting most of the time (other than PoA and SC), the strategy needed for the longer levels, the amount of dying and re-tries, it took a while. AotCR took me several hours a day, for several days to complete (total of like 12-14 hours or so).

  • 08.11.2010 2:17 PM PDT

on the mission Truth and Reconciliation, i had 3 zealots rushing me at the same time, i used JUST a pistol to kill all of them, it was intense, dodging swords of doom, jumping around, not to mention dodging grenades thrown by grunts

it was awesome

You were able to find the hidden pistol too? I thought only a few of us real, hardcore fans could get on top of those crates and then grenade jump up to that ledge with the extra sniper ammo and the much sought after pistol. Congrats dude. Not many people have ever done it.

So you saved and quit. Thank God. You are a sensible person.

It would be madness to try this in 1 sitting. Malnutrition and sleep deprivation would turn the damn thing into a mental challenge.

  • 08.12.2010 9:19 AM PDT

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Taking out that entire bridge full of Covenant and Flood with an AR and a Plasma Rifle.
