womyfts said that he has completed the first 5 levels (PoA, Halo, T & R, SC and AotCR) using MELEE AND GRENADES only, never firing one shot from a weapon. No vehicle splatters were used on any level with a warthog on it. No enemies or battles avoided, every enemy dies. you wish buddy killing all those ghosts and wraiths on AOTCR using grenades is impossible. So yeah don't brag about something you havn't done
To the contrary, it is quite possible:
Ghosts cannot be melee'd, but the occupant of the ghost can be taken out of his seat by a well placed grenade near or on him, taking him off. Then he can be melee'd to death, or plasma'd. There is also a tactic for use in open spaces where there are vehicles available for cover which is to melee the vehicle along the ground, moving it closer to groups of covies. By doing this while crouched you can move the cover along with you allowing you to get close enough to use the grenades to greater effect. It is not impossible, but it does take a ton of patience.
As for Wraiths, they can be taken out with Plasma grenades rather simply, you just have to hit it with enough of them. Hell, Banshees only take a single plasma most of the time, you just have to bait it down to your level and get a good closet range throw.
There are plenty of plasma grenades laying around if you do not waste them taking out low numbers or ground troop enemies, or you take them out in clusters with well placed throws. Once a single grenade goes off killing an elite it sends jackals and grunts into a bit of a defenseless tizzy, when you throw from close enough you can easily move in and take out most of the remaining low level enemies without taking any real heat.
You can do this, I have done it, it just takes patience, skill, and strategy. It was a pain in the butt to do, it took me 4 days to complete AotCR like this, but it was worth the time and effort just to know it could be done. Just because you see no way of getting it done does not mean that there are others of us out here who have been able to do things you cannot even conceive of.
