Subject: beaver creek remake for reach

I originally posted this in the reach discussion board but it disappeared in 5 seconds so I moved it here since it has to do with halo 2.

Alright... when reach comes out I want to make a beaver/battle creek remake in the first couple weeks. I am making this tread to see if the community is willing to help me with this. I want a lot of different opinions of what was great about beaver/battle creek, what should be changed, what should stay the same, and what has to stay the same? I want people to be creative with the changes.

Here is a list of questions that I want other opinions on:

What other possible weapons sets do you all think would work? Should I try to emulate the ladder in the middle battle creek style, or should I go with the beaver creek ramps? Maybe I should go with a combination of both? What changes should be made to the spawns? What should I do with the bases? Should they be kept the same or opened up a little to prevent nade spam? What can I do to make flag more balanced so red doesn't have as much of an advantage in flag? Should I keep those changes on the slayer version or let teams fight over red control? Are there any good pro gameplays of passive teams that I can watch? What about aggressive teams? Does someone have a map of the spawn points? Should I make the back of blue base more like red to make flag tosses and jumps more even? Should snipe side be buffed up to counter rocket side?

Thank you in advance for any help you give me.

Definitely make it Battle Creek style ramps. Punish the player for trying to get up there, if you know what i mean.

R.I.P. Halo 2 11/9/04-4/15/10
If you havn't played Halo 2 online than you are missing so much. Plus if you have played a good amount of Halo 2 online, I might have a better chance of listening to anything you say.

Beaver Creek was one of the 4 maps in Halo 2 that pissed me off in matchmaking (noob combo over use and rocket camping). The other 3 maps I hated were Elongation, Tombstone, and Desolation.

Maybe replacing the Rocket Launcher with the Grenade Launcher would help.

Halo 2 was my favorite game ever made. Halo 2, I miss you...

I might have to forge this in H3, I made a copy of Foundation that is just epic. Loved that map.

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

Beaver Creek is by far one of the best 4v4 maps of all time. I love that map. I loved watching the MLG days from 2006-2007 when they played on Beaver Creek a lot.

Go for the Rox? Go for the OV? Maybe make a run towards Sniper Hill? GO THROUGH THE TELE!?

One of the great arenas for 4v4. FFA BRs on Beaver was epic also.

I always thought Elongation was pretty awesome. It was always funny to see guests and noobs get trapped behind crates and pushed to their death.
