Obviously, in ODST, you being a weaker player model, you couldn't have the gung ho approach that worked fine in H3, which meant stealthy methods. Combine this with dark areas and silenced weapons, and stealth seems to be the way to go.

Except it isn't. The enemies appear to be telepathic and can know where you are or what you are doing even if you are standing in a dark corner, crouching slowly past them.

Even firing off one shot of the silenced weapons will alert them to your position.

Nothing except the human Sniper Rifle damage was toned down.
