You got any tips for people who have a hard time aiming with the joystick?

Well, since everyone's bragging about their setups, let me brag about mine.

My setup is a beast. I have a 20" RCA TV that is half-way busted. The blackness level and tint on the screen does not work. At least the colors stay the same.

2.0 speaker system. Well, (1.5).0, I guess. My left speaker is half busted.

56k that connects at around 42k max, but then disconnects me. 37k is usually my 'max without getting disconnected' speed.

AV/Input

:( Actually, I've been looking at a surround sound system specifically for my Xbox. They tend to be a little bit cheaper, and there's a good chance that it'll work with the next Xbox, assuming Microsoft doesn't completely re-do the audio output.

There's nothing that I can do about my TV for a while, though. :[

Compared to most of the people leaving threads here I am a god. I have that 5.1 Surround, and for anyone who will be looking for a 5.1 Surround System let me say that you will go far with a Altec Lansing system! You know those speakers in the local theaters; those are Altec Lansing 9 times out of 10. In other words, Altec Lansing is perfect! As for HDTV's I have a Phillips 30" that does 720p! Most of you are probably going "Damn you must be bringing in the cash for that kind of TV." Well actually no, I found the HDTV at Sams Club; you know that store owned by Wal-Mart. Now I did see the TV in the store but it was around $1,600 or something like that. If you are a Sams Club member or if someone you know, like your parents, is a member go to their website and check out the actions area. I got the HDTV that was around $1,600 for $530 + S&H. It took a while to show up, but if you get one now it should be at your house 1 or 2 months before Halo 2 comes out. As for those Routers mentioned in Frankie’s update, I can say that the D-Link can be tricky at first but if you do something most people don't do and READ THE DIRECTIONS it’s so simple that a monkey like the Bungie webmaster can use it! Of course the Bungie webmaster isn’t one of those monkeys you see in the zoo, so he is probably not a good example. But the D-link has a sticker on the box claiming that its Xbox compatible. So unless you’re a computer techi who maintains a network at a multi-million (or billion) dollar company, I recommend that you get the D-link or one of the other ones Frankie mentioned.

Now for those things that could help you get out of work or school, I would like to add a few of my own.

1. Food poisoning - just claim that you went to this fast food place or you got some Amish food and now you have to stay at home.

2. Bi-polar episode - obviously you have to be diagnosed bi-polar for this one to work but claim you had an episode and the doctor says you should not do any work for a while.

3. Heart condition - this might work better for larger people than it will for slim Jim people but it’s worth a try!

4. Sick day - this is for the working population only, but all you have to do is make sure you don’t get sick between now and November 7th. This gives you 2 days to start showing symptoms at work, like excessive sneezing and hacking stuff up.

5. Friends wedding – just say that a friend from college of high school that you have kept in touch with is getting married and has asked you to be there. Of course make sure you say that its in another state 3 states or more away and that you were invited to do a ton of other stuff for the entire week before the wedding and you don’t want to disappoint the friend.

its 720i. in that article, frankie said something about halo 2 being 480p or 480i ONLY. i was wondering if this tv will work with halo 2.

Now your probably thinking that im one of those rich snobby kids but im not. thats the only good think i have in my intire 4 story house. kidden its a 2 story house. and so im set for halo 2 and any other game. cant wait hurry up november 9.

:(:(:( why no 720p or 1080i? all the crappy games get those :(. will it at least support 16:9? or would that give people an advantage over people running in 4:3 on Multiplayer :P. it probably would, but you're putting in surround sound so thats an advantage over people who dont have it... 8(

A coupla people have brought it up, but system link coop... there has been no mention whatoever about this from bungie. Does this (hopefully) mean that they have been specifically NOT mentioning it because they want it to be a surprise? or, since it wasnt mentioned in this news, when nearly every other gameplay form was mentioned, does this mean that my dreams of linkup coop are over? cause that would seriously piss me off... maybe im the only one here, but i still get a real kick out of playing coop, and being able to have my own screen would mean if i was to die and go to heaven, id stay right where i was... except thered be a lot of naked hot wmoen around me.

i dont know why you guys are stressing over this matter so much. over course there gonna have 4 player multiplayer on the one screen. why would they get rid of it. i dont know about system link coop but im pretty dam sure that there gonna make it coop over xbox live. my guess is if there gonna make it coop over xbox live then they would make it over system link too. just remeber guys there making this game PERFECT. at least trying to anyway.

For anyone who read my first thread, no I am not advertising. I am trying to give people ideas of where to get the best technology for the cheapest price. So you might want to think again about your comment ‘byrum!’ Anyway, most of you on the 4th page sound like your doing better than the others. Now here is the big question! How many of you are teens that are still living at home with your parents? You say that you have Plasma TV’s but until it says in black and white that it is your, it shall remain your parents! For those of you who are not a penniless teens verbally pawning off stuff your parents own, more power to you! I just wish I had the money to blow on a Plasma TV. And I am not trying to make fun of anyone with a Plasma TV with this next comment, but do you know what the life expectancy on a Plasma TV is? 5 years! But you know, that could be wrong! For example, TV’s that were supposed to burn out years ago are still working like the day they left the store. Maybe all of you who have a Plasma TV will be blessed by the power of Halo 2 and have you Plasma TV last until you are 6 feet under! And no…. I am not joking about any of that!
