So i have this idea, which i think would be really great! In the next Halo, or whatever, you should be able to carry a third weapon. Yes, you heard me. A third weapon. But i am not talking like BR, SMG and Pistol. The third weapon needs to be a large weapon - like a rocket launcher, or a flamethrower, another type of über-sniper rifle or a mortar. But the catch is, it should take two to three times longer to be able to access it. Additionally, you should be able to see the weapon on the back of the person carrying it. That way if you see someone running into position to take out a warthog, but they have their battlerifle in use, you can see that he has the rocketlauncher strapped to his back and that he probably needs to be "dealt with." Or someone running to a cluster of rocks to set up a mortar, or someone with a flamethrower to torch an entire room...you get the idea. What do you all think of this? Also, what do you think torched Flood would smell like? I think a garlicy escargot.

Considering you can carry 3 weapons on some of the levels of Halo CE, it wouldnt such a hard concept to make reality. As for strapping the object to the back of the player, you'd think something like that would come into play with the 360, with the high graphic details killing the processor speed enough with the first two. Doom 3 has a nice Y switch for all weapons, but you always get shafted when it comes time to quickly whip out the shotty. That'd be the only drawback.

I think the flood is a delicate mix of rotting chicken and fish.. with just a hint of cheese :)

No, no. It find it a little better with just two weapons. As someone has mentioned, simplicity.
Secondly.... that's actually basically it ^^

I think it would be cool if MC carried 2 weapons like normal, only pistols are carried in a holster on his leg. So he could carry an AR, Rocket Launcher and a M6D. Although then they would make the pistol weaker...so maybe it is best to leave it alone at 2 weapons.

It would be great if you could see the secondary weapon a player carries, for example a R/L, attached to his back, as you say.
But to carry 3 weapons may be a little too much, you must remember that MC must be very quick and stuff to kick ass in Halo.
Hehe, but anyway, it would be more "realistic" if you could see the secondary weapon on tha back of the player..it wouldnt be any difference with a plasma rifle and a R/L, you should be able to see them anyway.
I dont know if this is easy programing, but if, that would be cool in Halo 3 or Halo 4 or Halo 5 =D hehe.
