Thanks.

It's wired, right? Then it could work.

If it's wireless, and you connect with play and charge cable, it won't work.

It can work. what you need is a bluetooth reciever. it costs about 3-10 dollars. also you have to go to xbox.microsoft.com and check at one of the subsections talks all about using 360 controller on pc you download the software from microsoft website and install it. then using the bluetooth reciever you get the signal from the controller and you can play it. it also works on wired ones

Wazzup I'm a Football, Boxing, Runner, Gaming, TV Watchin', Computer Wiz, Soccer, Book Reader, Science Wiz, Door Slammin', Halo Playin' Fanatic Freak!.. And I'm a Boy. I no longer like Pokemon, but that's what my name turned out to be when i was a little newbie. So, that's all you really need to know.

Could it work on Halo 2 PC? I just bought it the other the other day, and I have a wired controller for the Xbox 360 too.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Wired 360 controller should work without any extra messing around.

you actually still need the programs its the same thing and yes you can use it on halo 2. you need to get the software that lets it read a 360 remote. i play halo custom edition and halo 2 all the time with my wired and wireless. you get the software and connect the adapter and your done. here are the links to it:

Wired:

Wireless:

thats pretty much all you need it will work on all pc games that support gamepads

Halo CE and controllers don't mix that right. The movement is digital, so the analogue stick is a pain to use. (i.e. movement is either on or off in one of the major directions instead of blending between them according to pressure on the stick)

You can get a special controller called a "Gamepad" which is an Xbox 360 controller for PC. It is cheaper now than it was before.

Skibur knows more about it than i do.

hehe, I realized that when I re-installed after ages my Halo PC for some online Halo CE gaming on my laptop. Since I don't really like using keyboards + mouse for shooters - and that it is a laptop keyboard at this - my 360 controller was my logic option. That said, there is no way for my analog stick (the left one) to work correctly so I don't feel like my movement is as precise as GoldenEye on N64? That'd be a shame. And is there a way to map several actions to one button? Because I need to map action and reload on two different keys, well three different since I can't map switch weapon either to it.

I just use this for my wireless 360 remote. Unfortunately, as Skibur mentioned, the analogue sticks are basically a pain in the ass for Halo: CE for PC. Haven't tried H2V with it yet.

H2V was built to support Xbox 360 controllers.

Noticed that on my Halo 2 box earlier today, sounds promising... but so did Halo 2 running perfectly on my PC... the stuttering drives me crazy.
