I'm placing you on the hitlist.

Everytime I try to play Halo CE multiplayer I get a error message from the game saying I must have admister privaleges to rune this mode. I do have administrator privalges. I really want to play the multiplayer because I heard Bungie is giving people who own the game for PC something special in Reach. Can anyone help me?

I don't know about the PC players getting a treat thing..

But if you're on vista or 7, could you try right clicking on Halo's shortcut, go to properties, and under the compatibility tab make it compatible for XP SP3, and then at the bottom run as administrator?

Something smells fishy...

Right click on the Halo Combat Evolved shortcut. Then select run as administrator.

If you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7 you're not technically the administrator until you successfully create an administrator account.

There's an easy way to create an administrator account. Just go to this link:

This is the average H2 Fanboy.
Xfire: JacobGRocks.
50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Turning off UAC gives you a similar effect, where you are always admin.
Just like in XP.

Ok I got the update to work but I can't get a list of either servers or available games to appear now? I get a message about cannot locate Gamespy network or something.

Please specify the kind of internet connection you have. Also please say what operating system you are currently using.

If you are using a wireless router, cable modem, or DSL modem you might have to port-forward Halo Combat Evolved. It also might be helpful if you disabled the firewall of your modem or router.

In order to forward ports you need to first open a web browser and enter your default gateway IP address into the address bar and press "enter" on your keyboard. In doing that you should be at your router's, DSL modem's, or cable modem's web page. From there you should be able to forward ports, allow games, and or disable the built in firewall.

Another thing: did a message appear asking you to "allow" Halo Combat Evolved through the Windows firewall? If you did see that message then you should have selected "allow." If you clicked "cancel" or whatever then you should allow Halo through the Windows firewall manually.

When he was younger, he was the one who always had the jokes and riddles that would keep the spirits of the Spartans high. Over the years however, his lifetime of combat had hardened him, as it had all of the Spartans. Within Will, John thought, something special had been lost.

Explained in this post.

I pulled a list of keys that had actually been used as of a month or two ago, and we'll probably validate against that list. So people won;t be able to just get the keygen now and claim the... reward. (i.e., people who didn't even bother to pirate the game :-) It also means that buying one of the few remaining copies at retail won't help you anymore.

If you're just now getting to the game you're out of luck. Copies that had been online or validated in some other way before now are on that list. They're rewarding the people that actually played it without the extra incentive of "visual flair" in Reach. It's why they're being so open about it now, because it's after the fact.
