Why would anyone want nintendo? Sure, if not for them, video games wouldn't be where they are today. But today, they suck. (ironic isn't it?)

#1 I love my GameCubes.
#2 Nintendo still makes AMAZING games - So far doing better than Microsoft. Kakuto Chojin anyone?
# Don't be a fanboy. It shows a lack of intelligence and reasonable thought.

Microsoft just has more marketing muscle...

-S

You could at least make the title a little less misleading. Microsoft wants to buy Nintendo, that doesn't mean it's going to happen.

1. You should love xbox more, btw what on Earth possessed you to purchase multiple Game Cubes?
2. Xbox has more good games than Nintendo has pissed off customers. (which is really hard to do) btw, Kakuto Chojin was a really stupid game. The people looked like they showered in baby oil before they fought, for God's sake. DOA3 is much better.

yeah, super nintendo was awesome. it was the only console I liked better than the xbox.

but as time passed and it got more outdated, I had to go with something newer.

Once I get X-Box LIVE, I'll play on the X-Box a lot more often. Until then, I'll play Super Smash Brothers Melee on my Gamecube, but only because I'm shooting for 100,000 KO's.

I love my gamecube and xbox equally.

They look nice next to one another.

I have my Zelda, Metroid, and Mario on one side, which i'd never give up,

and i now have Halo, various Live titles, and DOA:XBV on the other side. Games i wouldn't want to be without either.

I wouldn't want to see Nintendo sell tho.

Shigeru Miyamoto is the Man. Capital M and all.

I'd rather buy two separate systems.

EDIT: Sony can shove it. FF is good, but not enough for me to buy a PS2. Sorry.

Don't worry; I am completely unbiased in this post - I hate all consoles equally, the big PC fanboy I am (I can't help it!).

I have purchased a Microsoft Xbox and own a Nintendo Gamecube (my friend kind of left it at my house and forgot about it... even after seeing it sitting there). The only good game I have played for Xbox is Halo. Likewise, the only good game I have played for Metriod Prime. Therefore, Xbox is better in my opinion, because Halo is better than Prime. Sure, you have some titles like Riddick and Super Smash Bros. Melee, but they're all rather unremarkable. However, I love my GBA, if only for the Metroid and Sonic games on it.

Overall, I think they are two competing companies but they should remain separate - the more competition you have the more motivation you have to actually work on games that are good enough to edge out the competition rather than simply pumping out crap titles that people will buy because they trust commercials, or because the game is based on a popular movie or other form of media.

That is all.

If that happened, SOny would just give up, and offer themselves t Microsoft. They couldn't fight Microsoft AND Nintendo, they would go bankrupt just trying to make a system to rival them.

You all must realise that this is only the first step in Bungie's plan for world domination. Soon bungie and microsoft will own all companies (yes, that does include walmart and mcdonalds). Then bungie will call upon all of it's fans to rally against microsoft. Once microsoft has been overthrown and bungie owns all of america, it will launch a massive strike upon all other countries. Only bungie will be left!

MWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Well I'll be damned. I though 'ol Bill was smarter than that. Nintendo is asociated with antiquated hardware/software and bad graphics. It may not be true, but I think that's what most people envision when they hear "Nintendo". Nintendo is a dying company. So is the Playstation division of Sony.

It's not going to happen. All Bill Gates said was that if nintendo wanted to make a deal...then Microsoft would deal. Nintendo is not for sale and won't be for a long time. They have TONS of money just pretty much sitting in the bank. They aren't in any financial trouble. No mario on the xbox...
