say i have a sniper rifle and a smg...

i see a needler and i want to duel weild with my smg..

i come up on some elites and i want to do some snipining

can i put away my duel weild snipe the elites then pull out the duel weild again?

and if you could, could you double duel weild?

a needler and an smg in one set..

then switch to like a plasma rifle and a pea shooter..

then switch back without dropping anything

You can dual weild one set and have a secondary weapon as well. Example: SMG with a Plasma Pistol and then press the button to switch to like a Rocket Laucher. You drop nothing. It has not been confirmed in anyway that you can do something like SMG with Plasma Pistol in one set then dual Needlers in another, I think that would be really stupid

You cant put away the dual-wielded gun (one in your left hand). If you want to switch to your reserve gun then you drop the extra gun to use it.

This is all I know... that you cant have 2 sets of duals... but you can have dual and a side weapon... but to throw a nader(lol) you have to first drop one of your gun(the one you picked to dual with I think)

say u have an smg and a plasma rifle, not dual-wielded, but 1 u hold and the other in ur switchable weapon-slot. Now, has anything been said about making your "other" weapon dual-wielded with your weapon you are holding? If that was not clear, then take this example. Say im holding the smg, and i can switch to my plasma rifle, or vice-versa. Now can i suddenly make my plasma rifle dual wielded with my smg?...or would i have to find one and/or drop my other one somehow?

No, you cannot place two weapons in reserve. Read the Mt. Dew write ups. They clearly state that when you switch to your reserve weapon you drop the left hand wielded weapon. The version they played was either the same as it was at E3 or at least the newest version, and is the latest news we have from it, you cannot place duel wielded weapons in reserve, you drop one.

In all youi can carry 3 guns. Dual wield 2 while having another holstered. You can change back and fourth but you cant have 2 dual wields. Only 3 guns in all.

I alread posted this in a new thread, but just for your convenience, this is a quote from the Mt. Dew teams write up:

The other new feature - dual wielding. This is a pretty sweet feature. Unfortunately for myself, I don't think I utilized this feature enough. I generally dual wielded about once a game. Hold Y over any weapon you can dual wield, and you'll pick it up. Bang, dual wielding. Press Y to switch to your other weapon. So for instance, you could be dual-wielding an SMG and Needler, with Rockets in waiting. However if you switch to your rocket launcher, you'll drop the second dual wielding weapon you picked up.

There.
