Now, this is a Topic I think people may be interested in. I wanted to make a Topic that people would really like to contribute to, a topic that wasn't about someone saying how good there dinner was last night. Somthing that is worth opening up in the afternoon to see who has written in and not somthing that someone wrote up in 2 minutes just to eat up some time.

After much consideration as I do before I create my topics. I had finally thought up somthing good, somthing someone may have already posted but too lazy to go check it out.

I want to make a topic about all the secrets found in Halo 1 by you guys. I had picked Halo 1 because there have not been many found, these secrets could be hints of yours, tips, shortcuts, secret hidden treasures... Whatever you guys think is a good find or tip.

So open up my topic and send somthing in, keep it on your Favourites if you must if it gets to hard to find on the topics list every time. I hope some people contribute.

Really? I've been able to get back into the Pelican on the level, Assalt the Control Room. Just as you jump out you can hold X to jump back in. But, I do not recomend it, as eventually after 30 seconds of flying the Pelican commits suicide as it falls towards the ground.

But tell me how where you able to do it? And also are you able to get dropped off with the Warthog?

No, do you know the crashed Pelican? It's like Bravo something. Just drive the Warthog full speed into it, and get the front to touch the pilot bay door. Then, get out and you should be in the frame of the Pelican. Now you can go to the cockpit, or the passanger bay.

You can skip the shafted cutscene by throwing a sticky onto the ledge and walking into it as it goes off. I havent tried when taking the warthog so lemme know if it works like this also.

Backing into a closed door with the banshee or ghost can not only push you thru the door but also under a platform when there is one.. or out of the map entirely (which reaches approx. 9kms according to the two betrayals distance counter).

You can blast out of the pillar of autumn and the maw levels.. when you meet keyes to get your weapon there is a cylindrical object there, walk into it for a little bit (it'll shake like a superbounce) set up a nade pile of no more than 3 nades and blow yourself out ontop. you'll need to do this in multiplayer as the other should trigger the loading points and gfx so you dont fall to your death. This same spot also can teleport you to fall to your death or right thru the wall onto the otherside of the barrier wall.

Throw a nade on an inclining point then throw another just before it explodes, it'll slingshot it across the map, or on a rock. This works great when your teammate has a sniper.

Load up the maw on Legendary (complete most of the game)then go back to the armoury, there's a closed door in which invisible flood (!) will come thru.. enter it and turn on your spotlight. Throw a nade and watch all the invisible flood spawn on top of each others head, then giggle yourself stupid as they ruthlessly beat you into oblivion..

..Problem with Halo/2 is that it's a Microsoft product, which means terrible code :).. How many times i've exited a vechile to get into a tree and fallen thru the map I couldnt honestly tell you, but it's a lot.. Same with the small orangey passage on aotcr(where you find the sleeping grunts after the elevator), you can exit a ghost moving towards a wall and fall out of the map. But thats why I love it to death, endless fun and extremely pointless :)

On Assault on the Control Room, you can jump off the natural bridge towards the end of the level and live by jumping on the giant fin-thingy jutting out of the ground (It's attatched to the giant structure....you know what I mean). This lets you prevent a whole bunch of Covenant from spawning, and avoid a lot of combat. Also, if you keep walking up the "fin", there is a spot where the fin turns skinny. You can slide down the incline off to the side of the change-in-width spot.
Maybe I'll take pictures of my TV later.....

Anyone know of any hidden weapons? I discovered this a few months ago: On aotcr at that random underground chasm with the two bridges, go to your right and you'll find a lot of sniper and rocket ammo... and a lot of dead stuff too.

Go to Silent Cartographer. After you clear the first section of the beach, Foehammer gives you a warthog (the part where she says, "You know our motto, we deliver."). Dont let the Pelican drop the warthog. Walk up under the warthog and look directly at the middle of the bottom of the warthog. Its easier to see if you crouch jump towards the middle of the bottom of the hog while still looking. Look very closely, it is very small. The symbol looks like an eagle with some stuff around it (like some American symbol). This symbol is not just in the middle, though; there is one on each edge of the bottom. I dont know if this old, I just happened to find it when I was messing around and meleeing the warthog. I dont know if this is on every warthog, but it is on the first one in Silent Cartographer. So, whoever has not seen it, go check it out.

On assault on the control room, when u first enter the inclosed area with those hunters, elites, jackals, grunts, and gunners. If you go to ur right, and keep going, there is a small area where a dead hunter is, with a few dead marines, there is some ammo for sniper rifle, AR, and rocket launcher.

you can also run out and grab a banshee before the elites get in them in this same spot

... or you could tamper with loading-zones and not let the elites spawn - even better.

OMG
Master Chief w/o his Helmet!

Stosh <3's me vicariously... at least someone does...

If you pay attention on 343 you can see a human flood watch you and run along side you as you enter the building. He shows up as a friendly on your radar.

Land the banshee on top of the control room on AOTCR and you can hear the siege of madrigal

Screw up the checkpoints on AOTCR and whenever you shoot a grunt in the head it pops. Well the blood drops but it dissapears

Look on The back of the Keyes flood and you can see his pipe attached to a tendron

hmmm, it's been a long time since I screwed around with Halo CE, but I can remember some of my favourites...

- Get the free Banshee really early on in AOTCR with the Scorpion tank. Just get to the area with the second Wraith (where Cortana says "Covenant are positioning their armor between us etc etc), and without going any further then the ice-patch, move up on the hill to the right with the two Covie-Turrets. Look back from where you came (and up a ton) and you will see a landing platform. Now you must use your sniper (if you have one), to line up with the parked Banshee. Let fly with some rockets, and then move your tank as far away from the landing platform as you can. Climb as high as you can and use the sniper-rocket combination to bring the Banshee down to your level.

- Amass an army of flood followers on any of the flood levels. All you need is a pistol, and some cool reflexes. Use the scope and shoot off both arms of all flood you encounter. If successful you will end up with an army of dudes following you without having the ability to harm you...

That's about all I can remember for now...

Oh wait, just remembered another thing... If you are looking for a challenge, and want to test your marine killing skillz, just load up Truth and Reconcilliation on Legendary. When you get to the grav-lift and kill all the enemies, move back away from the lift while Foehammer drops of reinforcements. The marines should form a circle in the lift. Snipe one or two, then move into range so they can see you. Snipe the rest.

Now go into the grav lift. When you enter the ship, the game will spawn the marines you killed outside, except that they hate your guts. Now you really get to test your skills as you try to kill both the Legendary Covenant, and the Legendary Marines!

Best thing about that is the cover they give you against the enemy, grunts just dont notice you and you have enough time to stick the covenant firmly in the head :)

..Also where that gap is on Keyes, there is an invisible ledge, on the left side before you jump.. once you nade launch over the gap, pile up 2 nades and launch up, it's against the wall .. you can do it in single player but it's a bit tricky, using a nade up on the wall to jump.

..was on aotcr yesterday with my bro and we bumped ourselves into the glass tube and into the tunnels with the glass cover. we killed each other about 30 times at the top of the tunnel, then went to the end and started flinging grenades at the top, sending dozens of mc's swimming towards us.. was brilliant and we couldnt even see the floor :)

On AOTCR the very first bridge that you come to, when you go through the door you immidiatly turn left and stay by the wall. You then jump off the bridge as far as you can (remember to stay by the wall) and you will land on this ledge thingy. Now this part is really hard and I havent quite perfected it yet but its easier on multiplayer cause you have a teamate to spawn you when needed. You turn around so that ur facing the bridge and then you jump off just right down onto a ledge that goes around the walls close to the ground. If you survive that you keep walking around it until you come to a big rock or 2. You then jump onto the rock and onto the ground and you are able to do the whole lvl without fighting a single covenant. My cousin figured this out but when he did it he lined up every vehicle he could find (kind of hard when u cant drive an alien tank).

343 guilty spark Right in the begining when the Pelican drops you off run to the front of the Pelican and jump on a rock next to it then jump on the top if the Pelican. The pelican will take of when it does press these buttons really fast (crouch, melee, mellee,x,x, then crouch again. what that does it puts you inside the pelican wich is nothing when it flys away and you sit in mid air then when you jump you do a really big bounce.
