Can anyone tell me which halo 2 maps are on the multiplayer map pack disk? I'm going to be buying a slim 360 soon and all of my H2 DLC is on my old 360 with no way of transfering the content over. If i can find a multiplayer disk then i can finally let go of my old and worn out 360 and start playing Halo 2 on my new slim one. Should i just go with the map disk and slim 360, or keep my old 360 with all the DLC?

You can transfer them over with the transfer kit that most stores now carry, or you can get the disc and have all the maps except for desolation and tombstone.

Halo 2 was my favorite game ever made. Halo 2, I miss you...

Is the DLC for original xbox games affected by the licensing like the 360's DLC is? If that is the case, then the DLC would not work on another console and there would be no way to obtain all the maps. I have the map pack disc still, I will never let it go!

While we're here. Is it true that if you remove your hard drive it will corrupt all your Halo2 DLC?

no it doesn't, but any xbox original game needs a hard drive to be played so i guess its true in a way.

I heard a transfer cable won't transfer original xbox content, just 360.

This is actually the stupidest thing ever posted on B.net:

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

Just keep the 360 with all the H2 DLC. Keep it around for times when you want to boot up Halo 2 again.

There is really no point in buying a sexy, slim 360 unless your old one completley took a dump on you.

I was the 2nd to last person to get kicked off Halo 2, see the thread Here

I know they have them at Best Buys, you might want to check that out.

I recently bought a new xbox slim due to red ring, and transferred all over via transfer cable. It can take a couple hours depending how much stuff you have to transfer. You can also transfer the license over once that has been done. They have instructions on xbox live as one of major nelson's tips (video). If you don't need the new slim yet, I would wait for the kinect release, I think there will be some nice bundle deals.

Did you have original xbox data on your hard drive that you were able to transfer successfully? Someone told me that xbox v1 data won't transfer. If there is a way that i can transfer my original xbox data then i'm gonna get a slim 360 now instead of waiting for my old 360 to RROD and risk data corruption.

Original data does transfer, I had that done before when I upgraded from the 20gb to the 120gb hdd. BUT, live was still up for oiginal games, and I was able to use content. But with the live being dead for them, is it able to verify the liscenses for the original data, since it does not list that on microsofts website in the liscense transfer?

This is the average H2 Fanboy.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Original Xbox DLC and save files are linked to the console, not to the HDD. It's why you can't copy any DLC off one 360 to another. You will need the Map Pack disc for most of the maps.
