Does it affect the groups too? I want to know because I have a fanfic I want to post in my group, but its 3 sections long, (30,000+ characters) so do I have to wait the however long the wait is, before I can post the rest?

Damn you, and your ability to add!

Technically, if it's 30,000+ characters, it would take 4 posts. Therefore, the wait time would be 3 minutes. :-)

If you always make posts in under a minute chances are, you never read the whole thread, you don't put any thought into it, or you don't check it for errors. Anyway, it altogether adds more well thought out posts to Bungie.net. If still you don’t like it, tough luck it’s a necessary evil, blame it on the spammers.

It's supposed to encourage people to think before they post. Apparently people still struggle with the thinking part of that.

lf you think about it, l think a minute is good. Now that l got used to it, the spam filter kicks ass. The forums aren't a chat room. And l don't care how fast you type. No one can make two legit posts in under a minute.

I don't like the minute. Sometimes a reply only has to be like 1 sentence long. Sometimes even just yes or no. So, it's kind of annoying to have to wait. But I understand why we have it.

It was a cold day near the southern base in Blood Gulch. Cortana and I were relaxing over a game of Go Fish, WHEN OUT OF NO WHERE 700 BANSHEES CAME FLYING IN!!! I GRABED MY SPARTAN LASER AND LET HELL REIGN DOWN UPON THEM. I HOPPED IN THE NEAREST WARTHOG AND TOLD CORTANA TO GET IN.

Then reply. It's two consecutive yes or no replies that this applies too. And if the reply is only going to be a yes, then why even reply?

The only problem i have with the Anti-spam is the editing, hopefully that'll be gone either today or by the end of this week.

Kilroy: If your making a Yes or No post, once again, put some thought into it. Make it so the person asking doesn't have to go "Why?"

If there was a reason that I said yes or no that needs explaining, I will explain it. It's very rare that I just say yes or no.

Do you know how much faster our forum will run becuase of this?

Achronos said this:
The 1 minute per reply limit, though, has performance benefits in addition to being a spam filter.

"Can", yes. "Should", no. *sounds of sharpening katana*

I think a minute gives people time to reflect and check there spelling and grammer the only people who will moan about it are spammers or people that can't be bothered to check there spelling. The only problem with it i've found is that it includes editing a post. I've posted and then realised one small spelling mistake only to be told i have to wait a minute to correct it.

The edit issue has been hotfixed. Accordingly, the topic limit per day is now 10, and the topic time limit between topic posts is now 5 minutes instead of 3.

Edits are no longer counted as a reply or a topic. However, you may not notice a change if you've already reached your limit for this 24 hour period. Once your particular "day" resets on your account, everything will be good.
