its funny because the reason there is tea bagging is because of people such as the author of this thread hate it and call it unsportsman like
1. it makes some people rage
2. people call it unsportsman like when its a game and no one gives a -blam- so they do it because its fun
3. if a bungie employee saw this thread they would probably laugh at it and move on.

and obviously they did get inside your head because you took the time out of your day to make a thread like this saying "good sportsmanship needs to be upheld"

One thing that you need to realize is that not everyone plays the game with the same sense of 'sportsmanship' as what you consider appropriate. Trying to enforce your view of shall we say 'proper gaming etiquette' means nothing to the masses, but it is simply your own perspective. Maybe lightening up a little and just not putting undue stress on something that really is only intended as a taunt or a harmless 'ha gotcha' in a game is far less offensive than the belligerent rants, inappropriate comments, and many of the intended offensive things found on some peoples' XBL profiles.

The whole reason anyone would get upset about getting t-bagged is because they got beat and offended by being shown that they were beat, or are just a little too uptight about something that in all reality means nothing. But again, trying to force your view of right seriously has no merit in this since what they are doing is not actually wrong.

It's not wrong. I agree. Perhaps the title of this thread should be different? Yes. However, "corpse-humping is being used as a tool of rudeness" doesn't really come off as a good title, in my opinion. Of course, actions speak louder than words and I can show everyone that I don't need it to enjoy Halo.

"They did get inside my head"? No they did not. Only annoyed me. Last time I checked, that was also a goal that a lot of corpse-humpers hope to achieve. However, just like you consider my views to be irrelevant, I consider your "point check" to also be irrelevant. Actually, I have a feeling that Bungie likes it when people advocate proper sportsmanship. They probably would prefer I used a better approach while on their forums though.

How is one T-bag more rude than the other? Seriously?

Because it's not down out of simple jest.

"The self-confidence of the warrior is not the self-confidence of the average man. The average man seeks certainly in the eyes of the onlooker and calls that self-confidence. The warrior seeks impeccability in his own eyes and callas that humbleness. The average man is hooked to his fellow men, while the warrior is hooked only to infinity."-Carlos Castaneda

That's like saying "He killed me in a rude way! He hit me instead of shooting me! I'm going to go on Bungie.net and complain about people not being sportsman like!"
That's how I see it.

Bungie doesnt advocate or support sportsmanship hate to burst your bubble they dont call it tea bagging the term employees use is "celebratory crouching" if anything they advanced tea bagging because now its funny to see someones corpse bobble when someone crouches on it repeatedly. As shadowskiller said tea bagging psychologically affects certain people in your case it annoyed you which in essence is getting inside your head.

I speak of people who randomly start talking trash, corpse-hump, and continue spewing crap from their mouths after the match is over.

But Bungie doesn't advocate being with it. They do it for lulz.

Are you saying Bungie randomly starts insulting people for no reason like some 13 yr. old?

Also, the annoyance that I feel doesn't affect how I play. You either win some or you lose some and I mostly play better with players who know what to do and I don't mind losing so long as I've played well.

Riverside23: For all the women of the group, if you've got a real man at least let him have his big piece of chicken.

WhtButterflyLiz: lol. Bring home bigger chikkinz, then, real man!!!

DEATHPIMP72: *throws pterodactyl on table*
Suck it JoeSki!!!

I do it to friends regardless of how I kill them, simply because it is for lulz ;)

But it is immature to do to strangers. A good analogy is in football, "When you score, act like you've been there before." Corpse dancing tells me you don't get many kills and you feel very proud of that last one.

-Thumpa.

Sorry man, but i really think your taking this whole Tea bagging deal to a level it doesn't need to be taken too.

  • 08.03.2010 2:57 PM PDT

I blame myself, not Stosh.

Teabagging in Halo 3 is hilarious. I try to do it a lot when playing. Sometimes I even teabag my own corpse. My own teammates and my enemies. Usually I only do this when I get owned really badly or when I own someone else pretty good. It all depends on how we feel.

However, it is absolutely in no way bad sportsmanship. I wouldn't say sportmanship either. I think what your trying to say is that tebagging is not proper etiquette in the battlefield. But that's just your problem. I mean it's a video game, lighten up. Just try not to get teabagged if you don't like it that much.

In the end there is nothing to complain or argue about because it's just a video game.

I've seen my family fade away, You've taken my whole life left me nothing to say. Sitting in silence with heaven above me i prayed every night by their graves. I search for closure i feel it no longer i can't turn my face away. I stand before you Ive seen what I've had to but now i leave your sight to avenge my family, I've taken my whole life there's nothing left to say.

Sure, Halo had been out for a long time now, but as an Xbox Live customer I do have a right to complain.

This is not a case of me being bad and complaining about it, nor do I claim to be the best at Halo, it's just annoying and immature to see. If a professional athlete is being immature on TV, he's blasted for it within mainstream media. This goes for overly aggressive trash talking. A little ribbing is fine, but don't go overboard with it.

That is all.
Teabagging is an art my good sir. Some just do it for their own amusement not to annoy you.

I understand this is an annoyance, but that's the reason they do it. This thread is just feeding it.

Corpse-humping is poor sportsmanship, and it's also necrophilia.

halo is my all time favourite game and also the fallout series. my best halo is halo 3.

I find funny when they Teabag me and i'm like "oh hell no" lol

  • 08.04.2010 8:59 AM PDT

Your going to hate reach then, especially when you get assassinated, then you'll get an ample view of someone going balls-deep into your corpse.

  • 08.04.2010 9:17 AM PDT

i don't like it when people t bag me either but get over it...
only t bag when people deserve it like if you won a 49 49 battle that was downright a close win...
but i cant help but love those idiots that t bag your teamates dead body when your right next to them... makes an easy kill

  • 08.04.2010 10:58 PM PDT

When you are getting beaten fairly convincingly and you happen to have one of those 'A Clover on my Shoulder' moments I see nothing wrong with it.

Just as you have the right to post this, the players have a right to hump your body if they're that immature. Get over it, it will never change. If you don't like it don't play in public rooms.

"It will take time to restore chaos."
George W. Bush

I have a story to tell. One day, I was playing 1v1 SWAT with a clanmate who I did not know very well. For whatever reason, I was failing, really hard. The score was 4 (me) to 9 (him) and we were playing to 10. Somehow, I managed to win, and with my last kill, I did a little celebratory crouching. I felt that the comeback was too good to ignore. Obviously he did not. In the lobby, there was an eruption of screaming, heavy breathing and general bad sportsmanship. He even went so far as to say he would have congratulated me if it was for the crouching. I felt very offended, and really did not know what to say, besides that I believed that it was deserved.
Opinions?

I have been calm and it is bad sportsmanship when it's followed up with trash talking.

I do really hate it when ppl trash talk... on freaking VIDEO GAMES! Who the HE!! gives a s*** if you're good at video games!!!

As for corpse-humping, I personally find it kinda funny, haha. If I ever did it, it wouldn't be a cocky "I'm better than you" thing, I'd just laugh about it.

  • 08.06.2010 12:46 PM PDT

not Pikesmaker

You know, you're not forced to watch tea-bagging. Just hit the D-pad when you see someone coming towards your corpse.
