Has anyone seen in the download section for the E3 demo when he hops off the pelican you can see a kind of turret on the back which makes me wonder since it looked more like a cannon then an MG...a rocket launcher? or some cool weapon we got and fixed it up :D

Thats not at turret. I do not know what it is, but it hasn't been confirmed what it is.

SB-117

Looks like its suspended from the top whatever it is
A clearer picture but I still have no idea what it is.
More upclose

It probably is a turret but I'm unsure. What else could it be?

if u read the books pelicans have m-guns and rocket launchers.
they were not used in the original halo because they did not recover any ammo from the pillar of autum.

It's a machine gun to cover the marines when they hop down. The pelicans launchers are either under the belly or on the chin.

Have you seen this?

E3 2003 Storyboard

I'm more interested in the chin-gun. Hope it makes it to the final game.

Ya I agree, it's the same idea as those guns they mount on choppers for hot insertions.

That actually is a turret. I am pretty sure that most Pelicans in Halo 2 will have turrets on them with a gunner for possibly air support. Maybe we will even able to use it.

it looks exactly like the mg that MC uses only a short time later, right when the sargent is making a radio call for the bombers. it looks like that, only mounted from the ceiling.

maybe it's for refueling mid-air, haha. c'mon, the tank still uses gas. it supposedly has a flammable gas tank... havent we learned anything from the Ford Pinto? i mean, gas in 2552? im sure we've developed a better fuel by then. ion propulsion! i still say its a refueling nozzle. bwahaha.
