And you base this massive generalization on.....?

This place is a sanctuary. If you had been here for older issues you would have noticed the pattern, repetitious arguments never made it to the Library too often (not sure why, but am thankful nonetheless). Sure there are slow periods, but its isn't like you see millions of the same post coming up again and again!

*sigh*, i have to agree. there arent enough diehard halo ce fans out there (me being one) as there used to be. the library isnt dead, its just not as full of life anymore. it truely is a shame. what this makes me realize is that all the younger kids will grow up with halo 2 instead of halo ce. hell, its already started.

l love the Library. l'm here all the time. lt seems that this place lacks quantity but makes up for it in quality. Whenever l have a convorsation here, it's usually a good, intelligent one. Unlike in the flood. (l don't even have to explain.) Or Zazibar, where all people do is complain about ranks, levels, modders, or Bungie sucking.

Lol. You said civilized.

Seriously though, this is the forums. Only about 20% of the people here are civilized.

Do you think you might be a little caught up on CE? I mean, I'm all for classic games, but I think most Halo 2 fans are looking to the future while enjoying Halo 2 to the fullest. We don't really need CE anymore. No offense.

Halo doesnt really count as a classic game does it? Double Dragon or Street Fighter may be a classic game, but Halo is hardly a low level gfx 2d platform. Of course it'll be kept in good company with these games over time.
Halo 2 lost me a long time ago, it's great for system link/live but the campaign struggles to keep me interested, there's a mass of weapons which makes it in all a bit easier to roll through the maps. Personally, i like the challenge of taking on the entire Cov/Flood armada with a pistol and a few nades.. you need a solid strategy to keep yourself from dying, which is the ultimate goal, isn't it?

I'm not really interested in Halo3 coming out, of course I'll grab it at first chance but i still enjoy the look and feel of Halo, it's worthy of the highest accolades. But i guess it comes down to quality and interest, Halo has kept me going, the sequel hasnt. I dont play any other games..

Also, someone has skinned Zanzibar for HaloCE :)

Good point. Seems like Halo 2 is more of a multiplayer-madness type game, and unless you are really really really in the mood, campaign does seem to straggle a bit. Personally I wouldn't have minded if they had just made a multiplayer package with new graphics and guns, and then reserved the campaign later for a more powerful system (but that being said none of us could have guessed the campaign way back when).

Besides you have to give Bungie kudos for not actually 'fully' invading earth. I mean sure a religious voyage 'discovered' earth by accident, but it really wasn't that big a force. Now they have a much more powerful system (xbox 360), and the pretense that earth is finally being fully invaded, with Spartan 117 behind enemy lines... sounds good enough to me!

edit:: sorry I went off topic.... back to halo CE discussion...

i also stopped playin h2 along time ago but not for the same reasons. I really dont like the h2 multiplayer. I really cant explain why but i will try. When i play h1 muliplayer i just get this feelin that is amazing i could play the game for hours without even wanting to stop. Halo 1 had this magic to it were you could play it for 10 hours straight. Also if u wanted to play multiplayer u had to lan and that physical interaction also made it amazing. But then in halo 2 after about an hour or so i just get tired of it, i dont know why or what causes it but i just feel bored and just cant play any longer. The main point i am making is that halo ce just had this majic that just made u never want to stop and halo 2 just doesnt have it.

Kinda of topic but last night we played a halo ce match and the guy killed me with a rocket but it also killed him so the final screen siad "You game ends in a drar" isnt that awesome
