Sorry if this has already been answered. I was just wondering how engineers are able to determine what objects they generate overshields for. Are they able to sense everything around them and assign a shield for whatever they want? It doesn't seem like they're covered in sensory organs. Even if they were, they would have to do some serious thinking in order to be able to track that object's location over time, or rather objects' locations, since there is usually more than one. Engineers are also able to give overshields to a target even when there are walls in between the two, which makes the way (whatever it is) that engineers assign shields even more mysterious (at least to me). Sorry again if this has been answered before.
