Yax is a shining beacon in these dark times. You should all strive to be more like Yax.

Can this please be a shipped map?
Or downloadable. Not DLC, but like maps created by us.
Urk wouldn't be so cruel as to let us watch him build a map step-by-step but not let us play it.

Personally, I'll be checking his fileshare when I get my hands on Reach.

Halo is Game Series of the Aeon! Go go Bungie!

This map is starting to look excellent! I remember the first post; I thought the map was just gonna be another one of those maps where I say "Oh, that's cool. I might play that." But no, after reading this, I believe Riptide may be one of my favorites. Great job, Urk! I'll be getting this from your File Share the moment I can play Reach!

"They're definitely heroes," he said of Noble Six's unit. "This will be about honor and sacrifice. And you still kick a ton of ass, you still blow a lot of stuff up." -urk

This is awesome!

I think it looks well designed, varied, and fun. I love the use of water! Nice work, Urk!

Spartans never die, they just go to hell and regroup.

Your map looks as if it's coming along very nicely and I'm dead excited to see what kinds of things the community does with the new Forge.

Your map could do with more dance floor though and when I saw you went for the symmetrical approach to map creation I was a little sceptical on how it was going to turn out but you seem to have done it very well. I also like your strategic placement of the weapons, cover and spawn points. Very nice indeed.

I also like your use of the water and how you've implemented it so well into the design of your map.

Good luck with the playtests and I hope to see some footage/screenies of it in action soon! ; )

Dont get too wrapped up in the Internet. It's already forgotten about you.

When the dust settles, you will learn what true terror is.

I don't know if "incompetent" really applies anymore. Jurkout, excuse me, Riptide looks fantastic, and like it would be a blast to play. I think you've focused on a number of the right things (like the rocket launcher run from start). I'm a little concerned though, since this map seems like it would be a very powerful map for the sniper rifle, yet you didn't mention placing any.

All the same, I'm hoping this map makes the cut and will be included on-disc!

Still looks good. Hope everything goes well in play-testing.
