Today while playing Need 4 Speed, I noticed in the options section that you could make the backround music w/e you wanted it to be as long as it was saved to your Xbox before hand. I then got to wondering, wouldn't it be sweet to listen to some slip-knot while blowing the §¤¥£ out of a covonant group?

It'd be cool for a change of pace once in a while.

I can see it now: Screaming across the moon base with "Rocketman" or "When worlds Collide" in the backround...

"Freak on a Leash" in the new Halo Construct...

and "We are the Champions" in the final cutscene. YA, BABY!

The only time I can see using our own music instead of Marty's stuff is in multiplayer, especially if they use no music for it again.

If not, Marty all the way. No question.

Ah, once on another forum in a galaxy far, far away (OK so it was gamewinners.com), someone had a brilliant idea for this. Basically, there'd be different groups for your music. The categories would be different songs the game would play in different situations. For example, your World Collide could be under the action category so that when you come face to face with the Covies it would play that. Other categories might be "creepy," "sad," or "epic."

What do you think? Personally, it seems like a good way to enhance Halo 2's replay value once you're tired of the original score, which I'm sure will be spectacular.

lol we dont but considering its the same person composing it it should be good and if its not good then they should have ur own music feature but since its probly gonna be good i dont see a reason for the music feature

you shouldn't be able to play your music in campaign but in multiplayer that would be cool

While HALO music is completely kick-455, i would like to pick my own music for a change of pace. Imagine listining to Yeah wile mowing down enimies with the batlle rifle. And KingKorn, u can listen 2 ure own music on a lot of XBOX games. And u cant copy boot-leg cds.

I am sure that Bungie has worked long and hard to craft some amazing music for the campaign. I am sure that it would suit the mood of the game far better then anthing else. However, I like the idea of custom soundtracks for MP... That seem like the best comprimise to me.

The Halo music is cool and kicks in at the right times. Custom music dosent flow with the changing pace of the game and I would rather have Bungie focus on the game rather than little things like that.

The campaign music is awesome, but the Mutliplayer needs some music, and i think Custom soundtracks is the perfect solution. But, i don't know, everyone has differant tastes in music, so i don't know if they would be arguing over the music most of the time.

I think cause they have a camposer doing the music Bungie wont let you have that option cause its like a slap in the face to marty. It would be cool if like you could pause the game and select your own music. Like if MC had music in his helmet to get pumped up, or something. But I doubt Bungie will do it.

dudes, u guys are all dumbasses. You should be able to pick if u want to listen to your music diring the game. Like you could go to custom set up and down load your music into it so u don't have to listen to your music. But why wouldn't u want to listen to your music than some crappy musical. ITs not so hard

The reason I posted this was because my dad hates the Halo music but I love it (most of it anyway which is why I mentioned putting your own music in the game.). Anyway, my dad and I have run into a new conflict... deciding wheather or not the noises the aliens make like grunts are bearable or not. The noise coming out of those creatures sounds like a -blam!- ferret being droped into a printing-press I believe. Now post up your ideas plz. Don't limit coments for grunts only.

I think the music provided by Bungie is perfect. I even bought the soundtrack, I could listen to it all day. But, I must admit, playing some victory music during the end cutscene would be pretty awesome.

No way. The music is perfectly made for the game. If you hand me the best game music ever made, I'm not going to chuck it for some two-bit fad band.

Yikes man, It's ok listening to the halo music while playing the game but I don't know if I'd be able to handle acctually buying the CD and listening to it hour after hour.
