HEY!?!?! WAIT A MINUTE!?!?!
Social Infection

So i was looking at wired controllers because i wanted on to play on my pc. i was wondering, does the gamestop controller come with the same software(does it have the same easy setup programs that the microsoft controller has)?

I don't really want a statistical comparison, i just want to know if it comes with the same software.

The gamestop controler is less expensive.

(Bungie > 343i)

Windows uses the same driver for all Xbox 360 controllers, Microsoft branded or not.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

That's because it's crap. I grabbed their wired one before I got a MS one. It feels weak in your hands, the d-pad doesn't like to register right (a major issue for me, because I use the d-pad for all of my emulators), and the sticks wear out beyond the dead zone quickly.

Honestly, I'd pay more for the MS controller any day. But I won't have to, because the one I got has already outlived the Gamestop one three-fold.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

Gamestop controllers are usually rebranded Pelican or Mad Catz controllers. Usually they don't last as long as offical controllers.

Get an official controller.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

The only reason I'd get a knock-off is to spite MS, and as previously said, you get what you pay for. I've bought tons of 3rd party controllers and they usually bite. Except maybe the Logitech Slipstream. But it's expensive too.

I say get the official one, the Gamestop controllers use much cheaper plastic, have hard-to-press analog buttons, and will end up costing you more in the future, knowing that you'll have to replace it once it dies (which is fairly quickly). As far as setup goes, it's the exact same for both. Plug it in, connect to Windows Update, it's installed.
