I got my 42 inch hdtv from future shop for 1200 canadian, it was a floor model though, and I had to bargain with the salesperson.

do you have a nice PC screen. like a LCD screen or something for your PC? casue if you do then there is an adapter that allows you to play your xbox on your PC screen and get the HDTV quality if your screen supports it. here is the website. lazy link or just go to neoya.com

Halo 2 doesn't support any HD resolutions. You can find a decent Samsung HDTV that supports 480p, 1080i, accepts 720p (displays in 1080) for anywhere between $500-$1000 bucks.

Sony makes a nice 32 inch that's right around 1000, and resolution is supposed to be great. If you're going to get one, maybe wait a couple of months to see if prices drop ahead of the holidays.

yes it does. it has been confirmed that it supports 480p. and they are reaching for a 720p mode depending on performance issues.

Sorry, bentfishy. I was just trying to tell him that 480p is NOT an HD resolution. He doesn't have to buy an HDTV to experience Halo 2 "in all it's detail."

720p, 1080i, 1080p are considered hd resolutions
