Your is not the same as You're

Plunk.

A total FU exception has occurred at your location. All system functionality will be terminated. Press any key to power cycle the system. If system does not restart; scream at top of lungs and pound on keypad. If you need to talk to a programmer press any other key Press any key to continue_

Preliminary operational tests were inconclusive (the damn thing blew up)

<not flaming>

It's up to them and Microsoft, and given how H3 isn't on PC yet, Reach is probably going to be a no as well.

Got sick of using my old Bungie.net username.

This is going very well, I see.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

I can't sign it... and maybe we should hold out for Bungie's cross-platform title. Unless it turns out to be a f2p MMO.

  • 08.05.2010 11:32 AM PDT

As far as I know, Bungie isn't doing anything about a PC version of any of the Halos after 2. And there are two major problems with a Halo: Reach for PC.

1. Bungie hasn't been with Microsoft for a while now, so developing a Windows game would be much more difficult.

2. By the time they are able to get a PC version, Halo Reach will be oldddddddd news. Halo 2 was released for Xbox in 2004, and Halo 2 Vista was released in 2006. And Halo 2 was an Xbox game.

I hope you understand that I'm not flaming or anything. I played Halo 2 Vista myself for a long while until I got an Xbox 360 to enjoy the joys of Halo 3 (and Modern Warfare 2). Just trying to be rational.

343 Industries will most likely be useless.
Those who don't want Halo Reach for PC, probably don't have a PC and necessary hardware to run anything.

Like the guy above who says "No", and count the fact he only came here to say that, proves how much of an idiot he is. Halo 2 Vista sucks, but he probably blindly loves it.

If any PC gamer complains about why no more Halo on PC games? it's because of this, no one cares The End.

Asking for Halo 3 would be more realistic.

Come on, it's a 360 game. Current high-end PC gaming hardware eats 360 for brunch.

It is people like you that make people like me need medication.

Honestly I don't want Reach for the PC. Not until Halo 3 or ODST come to PC. It just wouldn't seem right skipping games in the series.

Sadly that won't ever happen so I doubt Reach will come either. Besides at this point it is out of Bungie's hands now.

I don't see Bungie mentioned on their petition.
All I see is Microsoft, Gearbox, Halo fans and Halomodders.
Are you worried about campaign maps? well they can be ported over too.

There will always be stupid people (who usually think they're smart).

In my opinion it's just a lack of proper education, but with some exceptions. If you look at FOX News there are many stupid people who don't know what they're talking about, but they've had a good education. But then again it could be just the Rupublican Party's heavy influence over the station.

wrong, petitions on Bungie.net is against the rules, this one isn't on Bungie.net.

To be honest I'd love a Reach port to PC.

The only problem is who is going to do the porting?

Will it be someone legit like gearbox (HPC) or some random third party developers (H2v)

As long as it's a good port (performance-wise), has some graphical improvements (it will be, after all, a PC game) and supports dedicated servers not related to the Xbox version I'd be happy.

Even with the addition to a full map editor, as in both other editions of HPC. Halo: Reach Custom Edition, anyone? ;P

But in the end I think this is a long shot. No Halo 3: PC, but that could have been decided because of their work on Reach and ODST.

Maybe now that they're moving on to something different they'll have just a little extra time to work out a port to the PC.

I know I'd buy it. Our only issue is stopping pirates.

I'd say link the game to a GFWL/XBL account and charge a fee for moving it to another Live account. Only allow that specific Gamertag, with that specific CD Key (associated with that specific Gamertag,) to play the game. If any other person uses that CD key, both accounts will be banned from the game, as well as any new account that tries to use the key.

Or even make it a download-only game. If you didn't download it from that XBL account, you can't play it. End of story. There are ways to work this pirate issue out.

"love thy neighbor - but don't take down your hedge"

it would be great if they put halo 3, ODST, or even wars on PC nonetheless Reach. most computers now can run a 360 game no problem with the right central processing unit, sound, and video cards. if any of them come out hopefully (like bliznade said) they wont rely on xbox servers and have dedicated PC servers
and like bliznade pointed out the big problem would be pirating

Case and point: don't worry about it. Girls start getting boobies pretty soon, and then you'll have plenty of other things to think about. Being an Inheritor is not a life goal.
-TGP-

Find me an affordable PC that can play it. And maybe I'll sign.

In fact find me a PC that could play it.

Since 343 is taking over, I wouldn't be surprised if some Halo games, not necessarily any of the ones currently known or in existence, did have a PC version.

We have DX11 graphics cards, and they support tessellation and they run more better than Xbox360, along with Eyefinity mode.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

I honestly think that no console could handle Crysis maxed out.
