To be honest I'd love a Reach port to PC.
The only problem is who is going to do the porting?
Will it be someone legit like gearbox (HPC) or some random third party developers (H2v)
As long as it's a good port (performance-wise), has some graphical improvements (it will be, after all, a PC game) and supports dedicated servers not related to the Xbox version I'd be happy.
Even with the addition to a full map editor, as in both other editions of HPC. Halo: Reach Custom Edition, anyone? ;P
But in the end I think this is a long shot. No Halo 3: PC, but that could have been decided because of their work on Reach and ODST.
Maybe now that they're moving on to something different they'll have just a little extra time to work out a port to the PC.
I know I'd buy it. Our only issue is stopping pirates.
I'd say link the game to a GFWL/XBL account and charge a fee for moving it to another Live account. Only allow that specific Gamertag, with that specific CD Key (associated with that specific Gamertag,) to play the game. If any other person uses that CD key, both accounts will be banned from the game, as well as any new account that tries to use the key.
Or even make it a download-only game. If you didn't download it from that XBL account, you can't play it. End of story. There are ways to work this pirate issue out.
