You should try winning consistently, I hear it works wonders.
Honestly its just easier for people to claim that the system is bad rather than admit their own shortcomings. If the system was really all that bad, then how did players manage to get 50s at all. I for one have 8 50s, and I didnt rank up after every single win. You have to win consistently if you wanna rank up simple as thatYou aren't getting the point. I don't care if I'm bad. Great. But it makes it boring as hell knowing i'll never go up in rank, even if I win matches consistently. It just isn't fun.
Not everyone can win consistently. The Halo 3 ranking system is misleading in that people think they can get a 50 if they really tried, when in truth, they will never be good enough to get one. It is a hopeless desire that will never be fulfilled. You don't understand anything about the average player. All you know is Halo 3 is too easy for you and everyone who isn't good enough to get a 50 should just try harder. If you understood, you'd understand that there is no sense of achievement or progression for the average player.
The Halo 3 ranking system is perfect in keeping people where they should be. But that doesn't make it fun. Please try and understand. Maybe you'll see the light.
I get what you're saying, maybe I can't understand it completely because I'm not in your shoes but I can definitely see where you're coming from. But isn't this the way a ranking system is supposed to be? Its supposed to show who's "good" and who isn't. More people are in favor of the Reach system because it gives everyone something to work for regardless of their rank, as opposed to this system where once you get a 50 you either play on that 50 or go after more 50s and that's better for the majority, but what incentive is there for people who play this game for rank and want some kind of concrete indication of their skill? I'm not one of those people but its one of the major concerns they have, that and the fact that rating people based on stats is just ridiculous.
