If I mess around with the game during singleplayer by using trainers/hacks/mods, could I get banned from multiplayer? Could my gamertag get banned from Xbox Live too?

Also, what is Halo 2 online like? Are there a lot of hackers/cheaters? Does Bungie actively ban them?

No, no, desolate, not a great many but there are quite a few and definitely no.

Microsoft or Bungie do not moderate Halo 2 Vista at all. In fact, I'm surprised they even have a H2V forum, considering they don't acknowledge the game's existence.

You may encounter the odd modder or two, just stay away from them. They might be impersonating Bungie employees by having the "Bungie" flair next to their Gamertag, so watch out.

Oh, and good luck actually getting into a game, as the server browser doesn't always work and there aren't many servers that will not kick you for no reason.

Seriously, good luck.

BUNGIE AND MICROSOFT FAILS HALO 2 VISTA.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

Memory edit = hack
File edit = Mod

Big deal if they have a "Bungie" flair, is it going to kill anyone?

Oh wait, don't join my games you might explode, look here.

There is always a reason why servers will automatically kick you.

Did you hack?
Did someone name hack you?
Unfair teamchange?

go to the Server provider's website and see if you can sort yourself out.

  • gamertag: [none]
  • user homepage:

Something smells fishy...

What if someone has a heart attack and dies at the very moment they see a Bungie flair?

But in all seriousness, having a Bungie flair is impersonating a Bungie employee.

Did you even read my post? All of it?

I said he should look out for the flair as the user of the flair would most likely be a modder, and would therefore ruin his game experience. I know the difference between a modder and a 'hacker'; you're looking at a Halo PC/CE modder right here.

ok, also that bungie.net user role that people have is a hack, (it can be done in profile, but no one has figured it out.) xD

Ghost Unknown, there is no modder in H2V online multiplayer, due to mp maps with their tags in shared.map, so they edit memory, pure and simple, modding is harder on H2V than Halo CE.

Also, AI doesn't go well with Halo 1 PC/CE, but for some reason it does for Halo 1 Xbox. =)
