When Halo 2 is "done and dusted" do you think that other game companys will "steal" the graphics, game engine, etc. etc........?
yeah
You've got to think crazy, of course, because you only get innovation by refining insanity. - Jason Jones
I think other companies will try and copy or mimmick halo 2 and its engine and inards. But i dont know if they will be able to actually physically copy or steal there engine and graphics
But they can get a license to use the engine, if Bungie allows it. Just Like Wideload is licensing the Halo (1) engine for it's current, and I beleive un named game.
i doubt they will steal the graphics because it would take alot of work to remake high quality stuff like that. but im sure they will copy the hell out of the good ideas the where implemented in the game.-edit post-well im obviously a slow reader and typer two other people have already said the same thing as me (sorta) :P[Edited on 8/7/2004 7:52:39 PM]
I don't want to see a warthog called a "wilderbeast", or a banshee called a "Kamikaze" or something like that.....
I dont see why they would lease it or whatever. Because if they did it would not take the other companies very long to make great games that will be able to rival halo 2's sales. I think bungie is going to be selfish with it, as they should. And let the other companies figure it out for themselves.
Or a ghost called a "Vampire"
Or a tank called, rolly, or wait no wait, thats not right, oh oh i have it, or a mortor tank called trusty rusty. No thats not it either.
I found it hard too.......
I proof-read this post at least twice. I suggest you do the same so you don't look like a moron."Then, on the 14th of September 3866, the 7th company of the Presian army, which had been posted in Cuîrt one week beforehand, crossed the Perdané into Ulastap and captured the city of Reiginkø on the other side of the river. This dashed all hopes of reaching a peaceful solution in the North-East.”
Wideload probably only gets to license the Halo engine because it's made up of ex-Bungie employees, who Bungie can trust. I doubt that Bungie would license the Halo 2 engine to any old company. - Reiginko
ahahahhaa that damn vampires freezing me i cant move, shoot it with the trusty rusty
True, but what if "ex-Bungie employee's" turn bad / go to the dark side?
I dont think they will either, bungie is smarter than that. Why would they give another company the technology they worked so hard on. Ok i think i have it now, how about a ghost called pocket rocket, no, dang it im such an idiot.
Once again, I found it hard too.
The wilderbeast was attacking the vampire until the trusty rusty blew them both away!!!!!
It is hard, ok one more try. How about a banshee named sky high. Nope that dont work either. Ok im done.

Posted by: Captain ObviousTrue, but what if "ex-Bungie employee's" turn bad / go to the dark side?I think we can trust Alex. He is, after all, The Man™.And Matt is the coolest person ever. I don't care if he does turn "bad". Wideload is going to kick arse, trust me. - Reiginko
The new ATV, the "dune buggy"
How did you get the "TM" sign?On a Mac, hold option and press 2. For PC users, you'll have to ask somebody else - it's ALT+bunchakeypadnumbers - Reiginko[Edited on 8/7/2004 8:39:39 PM by Reiginko]
or how about hte warthog named "mud slinger" , eh eh, catchy isn't it?
I found it hard too.
what about a rocket hog named ''rocky''
How about not!
