We all know that Halo 2 has been given the M rating (due to many people using that to argue about ilb) But I was wondering if anyone knows if their will be more profanity in Halo 2. As far as I know... Halo 1 didnt cuss alot, and the worst thing I heard was the s word. I would love to see a lot more cussing in Halo 2. There is something about bad language that draws you into the game a lot more. (Full Spectrum Warrior is a great example) I want the F-bomb and more in Halo 2. Has anyone seen a trailer or have any proof that shows there will be lots of profanity?

I don’t think they will have more than halo because they don’t want it to be in the news for its profanity and cussing, they want it to be known for good game play and graphics. Also even though it says M they want it to go to a wider audience such as younger kids. If you know what I mean.

I want to hear them cuss because it draws you into the game more. Seriously it is unrealistic if someone is getting shot at and they are like Gosh Darnit. If they say stuff like Holy -blam!-ing -blam!- we have a Brute in a Ghost approaching, it would make the game more enjoyable for me and it would make it more realistic. If youve ever played a game that does use the profanity like that, it makes the game better, Like in Grand Theft Auto, it just adds to the personality of the game when your stealing someones car and their like "What the -blam!-" . Halo 2 is already M rated, why not push the rating to its max?

Xbox has the oldest demographic out of any consule. Its a fact... more mature people play Xbox, so wouldnt bungie want to appeal to a demographic that is something like over 20. Plus If i were a little kid, I would want the game more if it cussed a lot. Its like with the music business. When they put the Parental Advisory warning on the cds, more people started buying them due to their explicet content, especially kids aroun 10-15. It could happen with Halo 2.

I read some of the ratings on ESRB.com and Halo 2 is rated for Language right? well, by the ESRB standard, the rating of "Language" for mild to moderate profanity, which would be stuff that you probably hear in a PG-13 movie stuff like that. But, if it were rated for "Strong Language" than it would have the same language as an R rated movie. I think this is right, so, there might not be as much cussing in Halo 2 as some would like. I really don't care in my opinion.
