Subject: Can you get banned from Matchmaking for quiting 300 games in a row?

I really want to get rid of my EXP, but some people have told me I could get banned for doing this.

Is it true?

Yes. You'll probably get banned after quitting 30 games in a row.

And where could I find the rules to the Matchmaking?

There is no rule that says you can't, but quitting games is detrimental to gameplay for other people's enjoyment, and if you quit too much, you'll be considered a large annoyance to players, so much that Bungie takes action and bans you. It is also a precaution to make sure you don't cheat the system, like you would be doing if you followed the steps in your other thread.

I don't know what to believe. I need Forum Moderator to answer this. I just know that my friend did this with his new account.

I think 40 games is the maximum you can quit out in a row. Can't remember for sure though.

  • 08.10.2010 1:10 AM PDT

Your MatchMaking lifespan would be akin to a snowball's lifespan in Hell: you would be banned LONG before your ever reached 300 quits.

  • 08.10.2010 1:10 AM PDT

I don't see how people know this without getting an answer from the Forum Moderators.

You mean a Bungie Employee. Forum moderators only deal with moderating this website, not the game itself. Although I'm sure many of them have about the same knowledge as any of us, for those who play Halo.

His account was new, and he probably didn't meet enough criteria to get banned. He was lucky. You could risk it and maybe not get caught, but you'll most likely get caught.

So, what if I quit 10 games
Play a game.
Quit andother 10 games.
Play a game.

And repeat? :)

No. If you quit out of too many games in your game history, you will get banned.

They did this so it was harder to derank.

I don't know about specifics, but if you are a habitual quitter, you will be banned. So I guess that would fall under the category of "Habitual quitter". If I were you, I'd just go along and play Halo 3 how it should be played. Playing with someone really good can help you get up quick, but practice makes perfect.

I AM DONE linking my gamertag. I'm sick of people constantly following me and giving me their goddamn opinion about every game I play.

Get a life and stop following me.

Chuck Liddell has that kind of weird, mohawk wearing, incoherent badass thing going. Frankie Edgar is like the nice guy down the street who helps you move in your furniture.

"I'm running for my life and you're in space?!"

I have about 400 quits altogether, but those were needed.

Ontopic: As others have said, you would most likely be banned long before you reach your goal.

How about this?

Hello, I am a Brando.

What if you had such a bad connection you had to quit 300 times in a row?

  • 08.10.2010 4:26 AM PDT

I don't see why people are so obsessed with deranking, boosting, selling accounts, etc. None of this is going to mean ANYTHING in about a month.

I know! People as a whole already have a short attention span. Do people remember the game they played last week? No. In the long-run, people will only remember Halo's good moments.

Then you shouldnt be playing 300 games if you know your connection will make you quit every single one.

Hey.

Why do you want to get rid of your exp? You won't rank up faster.
