Subject: Xbox 360 controller buttons spontaneously remapping playing H2V

I am having this problem now in H2V. Maybe I was hacked on the H2V servers because it only does this for H2V. The buttons will spontaneously remap to a different config and revert back to what I set them at after several seconds. Needless to say, I am getting pwned when this does happen and it happens a lot. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do to fix it? Thank you all.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

The first and main problem here is that some MS code monkeys took Bungie's Halo 2 and hacked it into a piece of broken poop. On topic, I recall hearing this happens with the wireless 360 controller. Are you using one? Do have access to a wired one?

So this problem is isolated to the Xbox 360 wireless controller? Yes, I am using the wireless one with the official MS receiver that came with the controller in the same package. I read others having this problem in a google search and others have told me in-game that they have the same problem as well.

It didn't do this the first once or twice I played and I played for several hours each session. After a few sessions, it started going bananas and seemed to only get worse. They needed to test this more thoroughly before releasing it to the public. They could at least patch this in the here and now. No, I don't have access to a wired Xbox 360 controller. That should not be a requirement to play this game. thanks

I had the same problem as well. What I have found fixes the issue is to turn on/sync your wireless controller before starting up Halo 2 Vista. Since I have been doing that I haven't had problem.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.

50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

I'm using a wireless troller. It is a load of crap, as it has issues with other games too.
And it does that with h2v.

Glad I bought the wired controller lol, then again I had to since the wireless receiver hadn't been released at the time I bought it.
